Insane effort and writing, honestly I'm upset you aren't more popular, some better channel art would go a long way in making people see that this is actually a scripted 2 hour video rather than just a video of a guy "suffering through watch dogs legion" Very happy I found your channel, thank you for doing what you do 🙏

I realized a few months back that calling the videos "suffering through" probably sends the wrong message. It sounds more like a let's play or a walkthrough rather than a video essay (and it also restricts me somewhat to 'bad' games) but I like the name. But I am working on a new banner and I will take suggestions!

​@@ConversingGames Yeah that was basically what went through my head looking at your content, very happy I still clicked on the video and got to see what it actually was Liking the name is valid enough of a reason to keep it, I think having some form of indicator to show that the video is more essay-like in format in the thumbnail would work, "Analysis" "Essay" that kind of thing :>

Great stuff. I appreciate the honesty, cussing and what a breath of fresh air to not listen to a fanboy monologue about a flawless game.. bought this on release at an astronomical price and yet, hardly tried it out. Disliked it straight away, but this motivated me to give it a shot. Same for your Homefront video as well. Very good!

@@ConversingGames Oh definitely lol, a somewhat mediocre series with some interesting themes written by corpos who will never have the balls to truly write anything meaningful. Because you know, good art would be poking at them. It's a really interesting series to look at as an Anarchist myself-because of how it appropriates symbols & kind of does things a bit mealy mouth while blunting the vibe of Anarchism being an actual political movement.

I accidentally included the Chapter Graphic at 02:21:15. This is a mistake. It's not a new chapter. Just me being an idiot. I also mislabelled the chapters so there's no chapter 12 for some reason. There's also no 18D for much the same reason.

What I find weird about health bars is like… They exist internally already in *most* games, weapons can’t have damage variations without a health bar, why do they think a health bar requires that headshots do nothing? Oh… less scripting, yeah that makes sense, it’s not a “trend” to be an RPG, more so, it’s a coverup. I found it tolerable in Far Cry New Dawn however, in Watchdogs Legion, and Far Cry 6, it was god awful, ND had better weapon scaling and was built off the already fun far cry 5, though 3 is peak.

I love videos like this, so i will watch the whole thing. My only problem is showing so many cutscenes. I just recently finished the game so i don't need to see them. This means i can't sit back on the couch and watch the video because i have to constantly skip forward. Edit: What a great point about stealth. I noticed early on that no matter how careful i am, the game could just say "fuck you" and have me instantly detected and have to fight. That combined with headshots not being one hit kill (thus breaking stealth), meant i just stopped bothering with it and brought a machine gun to every fight.

Fair point about the cutscenes honestly. I've always struggled with trying to let the game 'speak' for itself verus me just recounting what the game shows I guess. Oh yeah. The stealth is absolutely broken in this game and it's so odd that it's how they designed it. It's not a bug. It's just how they made the game function. We'll see if the eventual Watch Dogs 4 (be it a sequel, remake, or reboot) actually gets stealth right lol

@@ConversingGames Oh after i finished the video, i didn't feel like you used cutscenes THAT much but i was too lazy to edit my comment again. Could enjoy it from the couch mostly. Great video! If i could however give a wee bit of feedback again. Perhaps the "suffering through" series could be renamed to not be mistaken for just a simple playthrough. I was very close to not clicking the video because of it. Not a big deal either way. And one final thing. The sabine twist i absolutely did not see. i don't know why everyone says it was so predictable. It makes absolutely no fucking sense so the thought never even crossed my mind. It would be like yoda turning out to be darth vader or some stupid shit like that.

Hahaha all good! The start is normally cutscene heavy just so the games presentation and tone are put on display And yeah. I like Suffering Through as a name but it doesn't register as a analysis heavy video. So I'll be changing that for the next video most likely The Sabine twist is weird because I can see how someone could over and under analyse the possibility of her being ZeroDay. Like for example. She's at the Dedsec HQ being raided but somehow she's also talking to Wolfe at the Parliament Building? It actually makes more narrative sense for it to be Bagley, but my knowledge of Ubisoft's writing cliches tells me it's Sabine despite there being next to no evidence

@@ConversingGames It would have made a bit more sense to have bagley. Maybe even make it somehow hidden from him. Have one of the baddies corrupt bagley to not be aware of his duality, so he'd be both trying to help and trying to ruin deadsec. Kinda like how at the end he tries to stop us killing him but he's still helping us. I dunno, anything but sabine twist. It's not like a twist that makes you analyze the previous parts to see subtle clues and hints shown. Sabine turns from a relatively normal person to "FUCK I JUST WANT TO KILL PEOPLE SO BAD!", it could have been a different character entirely.
