The newest Material Duplication Glitches for Tears of the Kingdom 1.2.0 rely on dropping things into the world, and this means you’re unfortunately bound to the world spawn limit on dropping items of around 21… but there is a way around it! With Dispenser storage, you’re able to bypass this limit. To perform this glitch, find a dispenser of your choice. Now, you’ll want to add in some non-zonai items. This is important - zonai items will not work with this as they will transform to zonai capsules.
When you’ve added enough, the door will not close. With the door opened up, lodge something in there so that items will get stuck and cannot spawn. This causes them to get stored. You can use either two fans or a stabilizer for this, or both. As long as something is blocking the door. Now you can duplicate items of your choice beyond the world spawn limit, and jam any overdose into the dispenser for storage! When you’re done, simply remove the structure blocking the entrance and get ready to start grabbing the flow of items, as they will still disappear if you let too many flow in at once without grabbing them!

Alternatively you can skip just one key in the Water Temple by picking up the Bow earlier without clearing the Forest Temple, but I wanted to keep revisits to a minimum. Also, once you start factoring in entry-level glitches such as bomb hovering, you can do Shadow effectively whenever so I decided to just keep it at the somewhat glitchy jump you can do in the Water Temple as the glitch ceiling.

You can do fire first since bow is never required, but I wanted to keep retreads to a minimum and forest completion is required to do spirit. Doing spirit before being given the hint to grab the lens of truth is "worse" imo, so it was imperative for me to skip fire as long as possible :')

As the creator said, fire doesnt need the bow at all. Its the map or compass behind the bow door. However, you can still get that chest without the bow. The iron wall's top is climbable, so you can just climb over it from next to the door that leads back to the upper boulder maze.

​@@EonAegis to add, the bow is only required in the fire temple to get the map. So if you don't care about the map, the fire temple and forest temple are completely interchangeable. For others: You only need the bow to legitimately do water. You need the longshot to do the Spirit. And forest, fire, water need done for the shadow temple. Those are the only real limits. If you count the water temple skip, which seems and feels unintended, and isn't in the remake, you can get funkier. Otherwise, I think Forest, Water, Spirit, Fire, Shadow, is as cursed as it gets without the bow skip.

We weren't supposed to do the Water Temple first? I avoided the Forest Temple since the incrediblely looseness of the N64 AV cords meant that I couldn't hear my way through the Lost Woods. I instead used my hookshot to check for sparks, and since "sparks" meant I was going the wrong way I didn't manage to get to the Sacred Medow since the last of the paths to that place was a "sparked" door. The only reason I got stuck in the Water Temple was because I didn't see the Song of Time block in the room where you got the Longshot (right after fighting Dark Paul). After that room, I eventually got to the Forest Temple, and as soon as I got the bow I went back to the Water Temple.

I remember growing up, the only time i broke the dungeon order was when i tried getting the different color gauntlets. I think i ended up getting the green ones even though i wanted the black ones. There are 4 hidden gauntlet colors, and the color is chosen based on the strength upgrades you get. I remember if you have no upgrades, you get black gauntlets. If you have the goron bracelet, you get Kokiri green gauntlets. If you have the silver gauntlets, i think the glitch will give you blue gauntlets. I forget the 4th color, it might be brown, but you get them if you have the gold gauntlets. The hidden gauntlets are just as good as the gold gauntlets. You have to do a few glitches to clearly get them, and i heard you can manage getting them in the 3ds remake, but i also heard they are different colors.

The game actually only checks for spirit and shadow medallion for light arrow cutscene and rainbow bridge, so if you use glitches to enter shadow early without nocturne, that's a big sequence break.

I’m on my last temple. Spirit. I bought a small CRT Tv 📺 at a thrift store last summer and got all the way to the spirit temple, not without a little bit of KZbin help embarrassing cuz my brother beat this game without KZbin b or internet long time ago. but I haven’t touched it since last summer. Playing on my older brothers N64. Have no idea how he beat this whole game and Majoras mask too back in 1999-2000 with no internet. I’m guessing he had the strategy guide and a friend to collaborate with. 2 kids working together doubles the chance of success lol

the game kinda railroads you into doing shadow first, even though spirit medallion comes first in the order. if you ever enter kakariko after doing the water temple, you get the cutscene pointing you to the well and teaching you the nocturne of shadow, and the fact you need the lense of truth to get to the spirit temple, and how helpful the hoverboots are in the haunted wasteland. it's not a requirement but the game really feels like its pushing you in one direction.

One of those "if y=true, then x=true." situations, the game only ever checks for the spirit & shadow medallions to give you the light arrows, but natural completion of the game still requires the others (water+fire triggering the shadow temple cutscene, and forest for time jumping)

Exactly. The arrangement of the medallions was, in my opinion, a design error. Like, maybe someone in the visual department didn't have all the lore info. Shadow is the only temple that has a distinct narrative place that it has to occupy. Not only that, but exactly which item is required to access the Desert Colossus? Is it the first item you get in the Shadow Temple subplot? Yeah, I think it is.

Easy... Get stuck at water temple and rage quit, go looking for anything else to do, head to the desert, use tge lense of truth you already have from the first time you went back to kakiriko as an adult and learned the song of storms (which was the first thing you can do as you can immediately turn back into a kid and head down the well) cross, the desert, beat the spirit temple as nothing from the shadow temple is required, then go back to the water temple, beat it, head to shadow... It's not like its a set path, calm down. It's also likely because it's just faster to go straight from the lake to the valley rather than cross Hyrule field to reach the village then come back...

The spirit temple being accessed as early as I did probably wasn't intended, but I'd like to present anecdotal evidence as to how this is probably intended by the developers: When I was a kid, I left Dodongo's Cavern after getting the bomb bag. I remembered the boulders at Zora River, and I was excited to finally blow them up. This caused me to actually beat Jabu Jabu before Dodongo's Cavern, and the dialog window for getting the Zora Sapphire actually *does* change to reflect the fact you still need to grab the Goron Ruby. The game is designed with very specific convergence points in mind: The three gems are used to get the Master Sword, the first three medals (not counting light) are used to unlock the shadow temple and hint at the bottom of the well, then the last two medals unlock light arrows and the rainbow bridge. The game is actually designed to only check those listed things at their respective points: it was very intentionally designed to be tackled in any order you want aside from these convergence points. This is in contrast to a game like Twilight Princess, where the game literally adds plot items into your inventory if you sequence break to a later area. It's very reminiscent of the Zelda games they made before it (Zelda 1 and Link to the Past, not so much 2) which let you do a myriad of things in different orders. It makes things much more convenient for a player, at the added cost of making sure all these things are totally possible.

You load into adult timeline, head for the first populated area, start talking to the townsfolk, learn the song of storms, giggle about tormenting the poor windmill man, head back to child link, do it, well opens, do dungeon...

Don’t need the long shot to access the spirit temple. If you use the target button and walk backwards on a certain portion of the sand river, you can cross it.

With some simple glitches you can do shadow and spirit before completing the other dungeons. The game doesn't expect you to beat those two and not have the Forest, Fire and Water medallions so it gives you them automatically.

Development team probably thought it'd be redundant to have the game to check for all of the medallions for the light arrow cutscene. it's normally impossible to enter the Shadow Temple without it's warp song and Spirit temple requires child link to access the west half of the temple (1st time players are going to need the Lens in order to make it past the wasteland. Or anyone who doesn't want to memorize the path.)

I played the game on Grand Master and this was my first time watching anyone fightin the two Oggdos in any other difficulty. It is insane to me that in GM diff, they both attack at the same time and on others only one attacks at a time. Both attacking was the only thing screwing me up in the fight because, very often, both frogs would do their unblockables in a way where dodging one would lead you into getting hit by the other or even getting killed by the tongue. If one one attacked at a time, the fight would have been so much easier and I can't believe DSP took more tries than I did in GM to beat them. He really is the biggest denthead

I remember as a kid I did them in this order: half of forest to get the bow, got stuck, did fire then water, went back to forest, did spirit temple as child link, did a bit of adult links spirit temple, did some of the shadow temple to get the hover boots, did rest of spirit temple, then finished the shadow temple. I played this in the time of release in the N64, so I was very young ano English is not my first language. I could barely understand some of the cues. I remember thinking "the Goron crop" was the megaton hammer for some reason, because I didn't know the meaning of crop. Anyway, that is all to say I did Forest, Water and then Fire in some of my runs as a kid. I really liked how you were somewhat free to achieve whatever problem you wanted to, even though some orders are impossible or extra hard

You can also do spirit first by doing a percise backflip over the river of sand's corner to avoid the void out. Glitchless speedruns would be super interesting if there was a shadow early trick for glitchless. (End game /light arrows/ rainbow bridge only req spirit and shadow. Since you need forest/fire/water for nocturne, it was assumed those three are built into the shadow req.)

Technically, you can trick the game to think you 'cleared' the temples and access Ganons castle after 2 temples. The game activates Zelda reveal scene when it detects the Shadow and Spirit medallions in your inventory. A lot of glitches required as the Shadow temple access doesnt trigger until forest water and fire medallions are in your inventory. But hey, it's still a thing I guess

In my hay day of zelda speed running, I would skip the deku tree, jabu jabu's belly, the fire temple, and the water temple entirely, skip beating dodongo's cavern and the forest temple. And beat the shaddow temple and spirit temple, but only after skipping most of both of them. Then skip gannon's trials and finish.

In Master Quest, you can do Water Temple first, as you don't need either the Bow or Hammer. If you do, you can go back to Forest Temple later and use the Longshot to skip a small key. Not a big deal, but something I didn't know was possible.

I actually recently did a reverse dungeon order run. For child dungeons grabbing the Slingshot and using the Escape Kokiri Forest glitch at the entrance for Fairy Ocarina and Navi Dive for access to Zora's River that's pretty simple. I also did a Cuckoo Dive and used the Crawlspace loading glitch in Bottom of Well for early Lens of Truth. For adult dungeons, I grabbed the Hookshot then bow, then used the back walk across the Sand River and Secret Colored Gauntlets for a pretty simple Spirit Temple. Then Bomb Hovering to enter the Shadow Temple, and the rest were pretty easy in reverse order.

Fun fact in master quest version, I had to beat water temple, get fire errors then light the torches in fire temple since dins fore can't reach 3 candles that are too far away. 3 candles are in the room where you meet Darunia.

I remember that in Master Quest i first did the water temple on complete purpose because i was raging on the start of forest temple because of the spiders, so i go to the temple, grab the longhook and clear the forest temple lol

The Spirit Temple and Shadow Temple are Optional, you can choose which ever one you want. But I’ve done Spirit first then Shadow, some times I would do it the other way around. Fun
