If I summarised everything it would be spoiled for you. This drama is a university/ college enemies to lovers. It has other tropes like office romance, class, rich girl poor boy, innocent girl , intelligent but savage boy, love triangles, betrayal, punishment, love at first sight I really recommend you to watch this drama. I’ve rewatched it about a billion times 😭 I will say that the first ep is really confusing but it will all make sense

I don't want to give too many spoilers, but basically the guy wants to get revenge on someone so he gets into a fight and ends up damaging that persons eye, so he goes to jail for it. Before he does that though, he breaks up with the girl since he didn't want her to keep waiting for him and ruin her life. When she finds out about him, she tries to visit him, but her parents basically lock her up since she isn't in the right state of mind. She becomes really sick and depressed. She finally goes to visit him but he says that he was never serious about her and only dated her since he didn't like her mom and wanted to annoy her (a lie). So she ends up going abroad
