Not how, but why? Like imagine if Hero's thunder always sent the way he was facing. Now with Pichu, someone actually sat down and mapped out a bunch of circles for his Thunder hitbox and decided that the ones on his back should also send forward. Why though?

@@Chillaxorita Just to make the move good, I guess. That is one way to increase kill power, and thats the whole point of Pichu, you delete stocks fast and you also die quick. It differentiates the move from Pikachus. Honestly, its nothing to whine about.

It's also why people have a hard time understanding Banjo's landing n-air since it's based around both where Banjo and the opponent are facing. For an example of a reverse hit sending forward, try landing Joker's d-air, while behind your opponent. It will pull them in and launch them where Joker's facing.
