Yeah, but they are hopefully learning their lesson making so many stupid toys that not only do children who might want to play with them don’t want, toy collectors laugh at them. They are paying for the colossal waste of money they wasted at least. Disney is in big trouble. I hope they collapse at this point and maybe competent people would take over their stuff separately. One company buys Star Wars, another buys Marvel etc. Then maybe we’d see competent and decent entertainment. To be fair, they might’ve made money anyway, because the markup the price on the stupid toy so much that it doesn’t matter. But that’s still very dumb and no way to run a business. Waste of money. A colossal waste.

The $25 price on a crappy piece of plastic is proof that the target audience is not kids, but adults. Kids don’t play with action figures anymore because their not on a tablet. And they overproduced them for the limited adult market. Plus the shows sucked. I’m still trying to figure out how Ollie’s is making money on this stuff. They must have gotten them for pennies for them to be in the store that long. Frankly, it probably costs them more to throw them away.

Look up the word "trade nights" throughout youtube. It doesn't matter whether it is TCG or sports cards...that is where kids are flocking to nowadays. They're spending their money heavily on the likes of Pokémon or autographed cards of their favorite sports athletes. These have become the modern day era toys where rectangle shaped pieces of card board are out selling plastic action figures. It doesn't matter if the kids are playing the Pokémon card game itself or simply flat out collecting. The money has been steam rolling in the trading card industry.

Those Marvel Anniversary figures are going for fifty and sixty bucks on Amazon! The Thor/Destroyer set and that Gray Hulk should have went home with you. Lol

At some point they should market these to shooting clubs for targets. Gotta be the fastest to spot Rose Tico at 400 yards and get a hit.

I will go to my grave convinced that the DEI hires demanded that the toy manufacturer produce exactly as many toys for the crappy 'diverse' characters as they would for the heroes that people would actually want. Of course, they're all now landfill.

Note the lack of anime based products in the discount stores. Just like Manga, it sells at retail prices.

Even "For free!" is TOO EXPENSIVE for Ollie's! Unsold toys present an opportunity cost, occupy space that could've been used for toys that WOULD HAVE sold- to say nothing of the fact Ollie's still has to pay rent, lease, and/or property taxes for stores and warehouses where unsold toys are stored!

I bought Reva ages ago. I wanted to be the only person who actually bought one of these figures. Now every time I see her in one of these videos I look over where I have her hanging on the wall and have a great chuckle. Well worth $4.
