Frankly I had a hard time believing he could be anyone we know. I feel like actual hints would have been dropped otherwise and he would have appeared more times as Hemlock’s living weapon. I like that the Clones get some peace, but I still want to follow Rex, Echo, Emerie, Howzer, Gregor, Chuchi, and eventually Wolffe as they continue to run the Clone Underground. I want to see what led to Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor living on Seelos. Why aren’t Echo and Emerie mentioned in the epilogue? Echo made it clear these characters are still in the fight, likely inspiring Omega to one day join the Rebel Alliance. Alas, this show has felt like a send-off for the Clones so I’m doubtful we’ll ever get Clone-centric stories anytime soon.

All his training and experience, learning from his commanders in the 501st, he passed that on to Omega. Never once did the show imply or hint that X-2 was Tech. The fandom just kind of birthed the theory and ran with it. I believe that the speculation, while fun, completely missed the point of what role X-2 actually played in the narrative. He was meant to be Crosshair's foil. He's what Crosshair could have become if he'd continued to remain loyal to the Empire, and this is the end result of that path: mindless, fanatical obedience with all sense of self completely stripped away. The fact X-2 doesn't even receive a name or face should be indicative of how the Empire viewed even these exceptional clones: numbers and assets to be used and discarded as necessary. Whereas Crosshair had his brothers to fall back on, who saw him for who he was, X-2 was largely alone, following orders, and died an ignominious death with no fare. THAT is what would have happened to Crosshair if he kept following the Empire. He would have been reduced to a number and discarded. Like a droid. That was X-2's purpose, and I believe he served that well.

That's also why, while I do think this finale to the Bad Batch is epic, I'm still a little dissapointed it was just the Bad Batch themselves in this final battle without any of the allies they made over the course of the seires, no Rex, Howizer, Phee, Gungi, Ventress, or anyone. It was still great finale, but without the other characters here to help it wasn't perfect like it could have been in my opinion. Sstar Wars has such a large pleathor of characters from both Canon and Legends, probably numbering n the five digit range. So I'm always mad with writers don't take advatage of that aand use characters to their fullest. Writers should know who to use every tool in their tool box. Heck, in Kenobi the writers could have had that Clone help Obi-Wan instead of that new character, that guy who pretend to be a Jedi. @@saloenjoyer3266 you mean like the entire campaign of Republic Commando was? Why would Trandoshians attack a republic ship, why were there so many?, and honestly the droids in that game, Geonosians, and Trandoshans looked barely like anything out of Star Wars we’ve ever seen. Maybe the Super Battle droids were the exception. But the battle droids were all grey and looked more like Commandos than regulars. Poorly written, poor graphics, frankly the fact it never got a sequel tells you how bad it was apparently. Clone Commandos are cool, Delta squad was cool, but let’s face it the campaign led absolutely nowhere except the beginning of episode 3 and the Battle of Kashyyyk. They even left a man behind. Sure it was supposed to lead into a sequel, but honestly learn to let stuff go. In all my years of gaming I never said anything to guys like you singing the OG games praises and swearing that they were the staples of the franchise, but fuck man I hate when you guys bring up the games and compare them to the show. Is Republican commando cannon? The events? We know Scorch is now so the squad must be. If that’s so where are the other members? Raises too many questions and honestly once order 66 came down even if they hadn’t added the inhibitors they could still be brainwashed, hypnotized, or many other things to compel the clones to turn on the Jedi and serve the Empire. You’re just a nagging little prick and you need to leave shit alone. I hated The Force Unleashed series and do you see me out there ranting about it and how bad it was?! No because I can keep my disrespectful and unprecedented opinions to myself. Star killer was far too powerful to have been cannon because he would make the chosen one prophecy make zero sense. He was more powerful than Vader and Luke. Bro was pulling off overly blown out of proportion acts of violence. I just see it as a failed attempt to make a Star Wars God Of War game and that shit doesn’t belong in Star Wars as there really aren’t any gods. There are Jedi, Sith, Robots, and monsters sure but nothing on the God of war level and so they compensated with outrageous force powers and cutscenes that were meant to appease the average person’s big ego. They’re like “ I’m playing the strongest character alive! I am the new emperor now! Bow to me losers! “ that’s all his games were meant to do. Force powers are powerful, but I don’t think powers on his level would make sense as all force users would be mediocre after him. Making the entirety of the franchise worse. For that reason he must be cast aside and exiled from cannon. Sure it’s a fun play on the story of the rebellion being made by Vader’s apprentice, but it sours a lot of the OT. And don’t get me started on Jedi Academy………. I myself couldn’t bring myself to play that one fully. I just stopped and said “ EA Star Wars Battlefront 2015 here I come “ Now how does it seem relevant that I bring up these games for bad batch? Honestly it isn’t. I just wanted to share my own disrespectful and hater opinions about the games you probably like. I might have said that I hated the story line of Commando, but I never said I hated the Squad though. I do wish Scorch could have been saved or something, but seeing as all the other commandos on Tantiss act like mindless guard dogs like order 66 is still in effect I kinda figured he’d end up dying in a blast if they destroyed the base, dying in a firefight or close quarters fight, or being saved somehow. Unfortunately neither of those happened as he got blasted like that Jedi from the arena in episode 2 when Jango just shot his ass like 3-4 times and fell over the side. Rest in Pieces Scorch. You will be missed. I just learn to accept what’s given and move on. Doesn’t mean I like the last movies either. The Force awakens - The Rise of Skywalker sucked donkey dick. Not cause of the acting but the storytelling in my opinion. How did Palpatine return? = Somehow. 🤦♂️ could the resistance not get spies or something to look for the answers

What I loved most about the Bad Batch was the relationships within it. The different relationship dynamics were incredible. My favorite example to describe this is how Omega hugs Crosshair first (instead of Hunter) after he takes the shot to free her from Hemlocks wrist. This is her brother who she’s supported so much as he has struggling a ton, but then showed he still has it in him. Yet, in the closing scene we see just Hunter and Omega together, and Hunter seems like a mix between an older brother and a father but it’s a unique dynamic that I love. Hunter may be who Omega looks up to the most but Crosshair is someone that Omega likely cares for the most because he has needed her care. Fantastic exploration of how relationship dynamics change over time.

Maybe he was supposed to be Tech or what fans believed was a clone of Crosshair, yet we never find out 2) What were they planning to do with the Zillo beast? Tech said in S2 that this went pretty deep but nothing came of it. 3) Remember when the one Shadow Trooper called Crosshair “brother” like Crosshair was hiding something? That went nowhere

1) CX-2 was just an analogy for what Crosshair was and could have become under the empire. The show never hinted that he was anything more, you lot just can't accept new characters. 2) They explained what they wanted the Zillo beast for in the clone wars 3) CX-1 only called Crosshair brother because Hemlock tried to make him into an operative and because he wanted the other clones to doubt Crosshair. None of these are unanswered questions.

I love how the series went. But with many talking about how their theories were not right, and how they were disappointed about how x, y, or z didn't happen, I honestly have to say, if you theorize about ongoing shows, firstly, go for it, that's part of the fun for many. but secondly, temper your expectations, it isn't your story to tell, and sometimes the story you want another person's show to tell isn't what they want their story to tell. You'll only disappoint yourself and those you overhype if you try to push outlandish or incredible theories onto.
@BrickDevilTributes8 ай бұрын
My biggest issue with the show as a whole is it had too many loose threads. TCW was an anthology series, so leaving things open ended was fine, but this is a streamline linear story. If you're gonna introduce things or characters, you have to follow through or else it'll feel unsatisfying. Scorch and Cody feel so wasted, along with many of the new and returning clones we see. The commandos being turned into glorified grunts was the most heartbreaking, given that previous depictions always made sure to show that they're FAR above even the clone commanders of the GAR. Lots of good ideas and episodes, but it feels hollow given we don't get a conclusion to even half of the many characters and plot threads introduced. Also sad we didn't get an actual clone rebellion, given all of Rex's crew were wiped out in one evening lol.
@c.g.d18998 ай бұрын
I agree. Wolffe, Cody and the whole mystery of the CX-2 trooper being pushed aside really bothered me. You build up so much hype with returning characters like Asajj, Cody, Wolffe, Gregor, Scorch and just use them for minor roles. Especially Scorch who was just a messager who went out without a fight in the end. They must have a new show lined up to close the open ties.

I think the reality is that the commandos were never going to be as impressive on screen because they aren't video game characters anymore.
