The 'wrong type of leaves' at Brambleton

Running stock in the winter comes with its challenges. Newly converted 40148 has some test runs with some smart Dapol tank wagons.
Heljan 0 Gauge Class 40. DCC sound is Zimo with the Paul Chetter project. Battery-powered radio gear from Fosworks. The wagons belong to Brian!

The hazards of garden railroading Phil. I go round with a broom just before run. I see got the wretched moss back again which I will have to tackly in the spring. Still with battery power its only a question of brushing off the leaves . Much better than cleaning the rails and repairing bonds! Graham

Great Sound there Phil. Locos look great. Love seeing the bigger gauge. Having gone to HO I find the built in sound enclosures designed by the Germans much better than OO models.

Thanks Paul. Yes I was turned off 00 size sound in the late 90s and 00s by the pitiful sound - and it was all the fault of the speaker. Even the Hornby TTS for instance - if they spent another dollar on the speaker (even a smartphone speaker) it would sound pretty good, much better than its price-point would suggest.

@@fildowns Oh yes , did you watch the Hornby TV series. Seems like they are upgrading at last but too late. I'm loving ESU sound chips and playing around with speakers. Take care.
