I'm not sure who they are either, but I think sometimes winning these things might play a mental trick on people. Maybe they think they don't have to work too hard now and it'll be easypeezy. Even though they got a $1mil contract, that won't last if you're living it up like a rich popstar. Granted, I've looked up the net worth of some of these folks from time to time, and it's not too bad. Even for top 5s and 10s sometimes.

@@allisonj905 I 💯 agree and also think, every season people would go crazy supporting the contestant they wanted to win. When eventually a winner was announced, there had been so so much hype about it that it was hard to find someone who didn't have a favourite out of the final 2. Even folk who didn't watch the show AT ALL would still know who the finalists were. (remember the hype circus that surrounded Gareth Gates, going around in that bus to promote himself and garner votes. Then radio, newspapers etc holding competitions to win £ if you saw his bus.... it was crazy publicity) So when the final came and the winner announced folk would go out buying their music, merch, etc.That sudden rise in attention inevitably came before a crash of attention in the winner as the show had ended, the novelty and hype had worn off and after a month or 2 new auditions were being advertised, held and filmed for the next season the following year, folk were looking forward to that.The winner of that years season was largely forgotten. There'd be a slight rise when the X Factor tour went round the UK but, imo, maybe a month or so after Hogmanay of that years season they were all mostly out of favour.

19:00 Rachel had an extremely brief childhood then had the first of her 5 children when she was only 13 year old!!!!! Wow things certainly haven't been easy for her. She looks so sad, if the eyes are the window to the soul then Rachel's soul is tired, broken, hurt(ing) yet she still finds the strength to get up and keep going every day. I really hope things have gotten easier for her and she now has a lot of joy in her life. Just been listening (like I personally prefer doing) to the kind of things I more prefer listening to compared to what I feel (not to feel like a snob by any means as it's actually probably (depending on the genuine talent of course but it can sort of go two ways really realistically) more open to people in so many ways but lower key less sort of almost maybe manufactured sort of talent really perhaps, then comparing it to some of these people and heck they'd probably never get many gigs doing that kind of work either that I am watching to be frank. Like apart from perhaps a really slowed down version of the original to Máiri's Wedding to cut a long story short was written by John Bannerman for when a lady named Mary (it's the Gáidhlig equivalent name/spelling) C. MacNiven when she won the National Mód in 1934, was translated from what was Máiri Bhán into Máiri's Wedding by Sir Hugh Robertson. I mean its fair play to anyone who makes some success out of this kind of stuff, though some really aren't that bothered about seeing x numbers of cd's or whatever merchandise you're talking about etc, but I mean it's like what Todd Rundgren said something along the lines of "there's a general law of/in music, if you go to the same towns/places over and over again you're audience will, if you've got anything of interest will usually/generally expand".
