I consider the russian roulette scene to be one of the most tense and best acted scenes in the show, it is incredible what each of them transmits, Modell with her impetus to dominate, wanting to persuade Mulder at all costs, he even had them very studied since at one point tells Mulder "shoot her, she shot you once, I read it in your file". Then we have Scully, with her eyes full of tears wanting to stop Mulder from hurting himself, outraged and unable to believe that Mulder was about to shoot her... and the poor Mulder, fighting internally, trying with all his might to stop his actions driven by Modell... Just AMAZING

Fun Fact: 06:17 The couple in the back, ...It's Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters) with his girlfriend. He got this little cameo because he is such a big X Files fan. That's why there are Foo Fighters songs on both X Files soundtracks, for the series as well for the first movie.

One of the BEST episodes of the entire series. And definitely made so by all the little MSR moments. When you guys have finished the series, you should watch this BRILLIANT fan video called "The Legendary Looks Between Mulder and Scully" -- it's all about their chemistry and how all the onscreen intimacy was created with just looks and little touches. It's so good.

I love how it is made clear that, on the one hand, everyone calls Mulder a "spooky" and everything, but the reality is that they consider him very intelligent... for Modell he's a worthy opponent. PS: there is a continuation of this episode in season 5
