I remember a single episode, the Halloween episode, and it's left an impression to this day. The artificial intelligence that basically *is* their home gets corrupted and begins behaving like a poltergeist, going so far as to subsume and turn members of the family into mindless zombies. Actually a pretty good premise; when spies gadgets are turned against them. The ending though is what sticks with me the most. The only one left is the boy. He discovers that intense emotional memories can snap his family members back to autonomy, but can't think of anything heartwarming to use on his sister. He ends up needing to threaten distributing his sister's diary to the entire school if she doesn't snap back. And the indignant rage actually works! Solid Halloween episode, at least.

Disney Channel also had My Spy Family. It was a live action comedy about a male American spy and his female Russian rival falling in love and starting a family, with three children: a teenage boy who wants to follow his parents’ footsteps, a teenage girl who just wants to be normal and an overtly violent kid brother. It wasn’t one of the greats, and a bit of a blatant Wizards of Waverly Place ripoff with mostly stock characters (the father especially was a very typical bumbling, enthusiastic father), but I always remember it implementing a lot of spy elements.

I think it's just your episodes. I remember other episodes did more with the whole "spies" thing. Like, one episode has Tuesday X hosting a sleep over and the family has to go on a mission in space, and Tuesday has to hide/explain away the fact that out the window is a space battle. There's another episode where Truman wants to get a pet because the family is always tied up with missions to do things with him, and a puppy would give him a play mate, and that puppy ends up being a henchman of the villain of the episode that wants to make pets the dominant species on earth. They also do a "kids and parents swap places because the grass is always greener" plot, and mix in some spy things like "the reason they swapped responsibilities is because their governing body was angry at how they handled the mission, so their direction was to switch places because of that," and "Trudy's hair style isn't just her preference, it's actually regulation style that all female agents at her rank must have, something Tuesday reluctantly had to take when they switched." Sure, they went with more "normal family problems" than "spy problems," but from what I remember it wasn't "the spy thing is literally just a gimmick that adds nothing to the actual plot of the episode."
@fightingmedialounge519

To be fair, the episodes he listed did actually do stuff with the spy aspect. His complaint more that said interesting premise is filtered through a mundane lense.

There was also an episode where the dad became psychotically obsessed with being a mailman because he was unsatisfied with how small the spy manual was compared to the mailman manual. This show gives one some appreciation for voice actors such as Mel Blanc, Frank Welker, Billy West, and even Mike Patton. Their ability to provide many different types of voices from merely using their own vocal chords is pretty impressive, to the point you wouldn't recognise them being in a work unless it was pointed out to you. As an example, Billy West has recorded conversations between multiple characters in a single take.

On the one hand, it _does_ take me out when I can recognize a VA's voice. On the other hand, I usually only recognize the voice because it's one I happened to really like. And while, in a perfect world, it would be better for everyone if directors could help their VAs give more unique performances every time... In the one we live in it'd be far more likely that the people with recognizable voices just didn't get hired. And, honestly, I'm just happy that folks like Mike Pollock and Richard Horvitz are in work.

There are like two things I remember from this show for some reason, In one of them, The Xs win some sort of contest from a grocery store and become rich and famous because of it. This is a bad thing because they're spies, and one of the most important aspects of being a spy is keeping your life secret. So, they go by the "Eggsalads" during this time, and they somehow become so popular that even their main bad guy loves them! ... As the Eggsalads that is. I think he had a Butler or henchmen or something, who tried to point out that they were the same people, but he was convinced that they were two completely separate families. The other episode I remember for some reason is the little boy gets into a fight with his family, and so they pull the whole "my house my rules" card, along with the "if you want to go by your own rules, you can move out" card. And so he does. He builds a miniature and honestly better version of their house and just, lives there. Like, it's legitimately awesome, and made me jealous that he could just do that. I even remember that he had his own version of their computer Butler! Then, I think he moves back in because he realized he missed them or something, and that's about all I remember from this show. That's it.

Honestly I don't care if it's the same voice as long as it's well acted. I respect Warburton because he is a great voice actor who can perform many different characters well despite not having much difference in his voice (Kronk, Joe, and Brock are the most mentioned examples in this comment section). Honestly, I think there is a deserved place for those types of voice actors in a similar way that there is a deserved place for the Mel Blancs of the world.

2:20 I think that you are actually being too hard on the parents. Mr. X is overzealous when it comes to his job. But he is actually competent, which is unusual for cartoon dads. Mrs. X is not the voice of reason. Rather, she is an unbalanced violent lunatic, and is framed as such. That is unusual for sitcom and cartoon moms.

I remember a handful of episodes. One of them was about the brother staying out of trouble so that he could go to a water park, and his punishment would've been Mime School. Sister tries to Sabotage him, and she gets sent instead. The other one was the Halloween episode. The villain, Glow-Face, hypnotizes the family except the brother, into being Zombies, and while the mom and dad are constantly moaning "Braaaaains", the sister shouts "Spleens!" The brother asks "Don't you mean 'brains'?" And she replies "Allergic...." I thought the show was memorable ENOUGH to pop in my mind every so often. Honestly, the most forgettable thing to me was the title. I always kept thinking it was "The Secret Saturdays", but I'm aware that's something else.

this is one of those cases where your choices are 500 pirated streaming sites or nothing, I did a quick search and couldnt find any DVD's for sale or any official streaming sites. I also think that you can usually find higher quality versions for obscure shows than dowloadable torrents of the same show, probably due to people compressing the files before uploading or torrent sites compressing them before you download.

@@HerrBjork Yep its true in that regard... Granted even then a lot are still currently at this time lost media ... Atleast the complete versions … Or none changed versions in a complete fashion For example there is tv specials that had to later be edited for they originally had to include product placements in the tv specials for money … While others are do to almost no one recorded them and either not getting uploaded to the net or when they do getting pulled down when the ones holding the IP find it .. Yet oddly the IP owners never release this or that movie or tv special or series even have claimed they can't find a copy despite they had pulled down a good Quality version from the net... Heck I can name a example off this My little pony G1 had atleast two tv specials that was later cut up to be episodes and content was lost do to this... which to this do its claimed that the owners of the IP has no copy of the complete original versions, Yet some people had upload the intact versions of the specials and they got pulled they even was of good quality .. I found it odd they couldn't have atleast used the copies uploaded or get ahold of who uploaded them to get copies they could remaster or something
