The games I mentioned run pretty good, not perfect, because now there are hacks and settings involved. Just bear that in mind. And who knows later on in the game it could slow to a crawl. But it much more playable now than it was before. I'd probably say the X18S in terms of gamecube playble has gone from 50% to about 70% of the the library.

Haven't yet. I did think about it but there are so many gamecube games to go through... I remember playing Timesplitters 1 and 2 in multiplayer back in the day on xbox. It was pretty fun! I don't remember playing single player at all and I think even when I played it by myself I was playing it with just a bunch of bots. 😄

It’s not playable, much harder to run then Timesplitters 2.

The cpu underclock feature really helps on older laptops aswell, when using dolphin. In some cases as much as 15-20 fps, Mostly on wii though. Really cool that the device runs THPS3.

Turning off the sound track in THPS3 sometimes nets you a frame or two increase.Also, zooming out the view slightly can net one or two FPS.

I tried N64 Starwars Rogue Squadron and the rom didn't work. Gamecube Rogue Squadron II probably isn't going to work so I didn't try. One of the harder games on gamecube to run along with F-Zero. There's a spreadsheet with working and non working games and there's still a fair few gamecube games that don't run on the X18S.

I got Rogue Squadron working on X18S , but the performance renders it unplayable at around 3 FPS. Looking forward to Odin - it should play well there

What does emulated clock speed do? It looks somewhat like the 'holy grail'. It seems counterintuitive to lower clockspeed to male a game run faster. What does it actually emulate, and with 30% of emulated clock speed, what do you miss in the game?

Still waiting for mine to arrive in the mail , I have an idea , there are videos on KZbin on how to lower screen resolution on Android , online I can see the default resolution for the x18s is 720x1280 , the next resolution down would be 576x1024 by using a resolution calculator, would take stress off of the gpu and make all games run better

Ill have to look into it, i think MMJR is just running it at default gamecube resolution is 480p and there's no way to adjust that any lower anyway.

Have you seen Powkiddys yt channel latest post? Possible landscape version of the X18s..as long as the make the buttons and dpad better it may be very good. Well, lets hope. Also make it dual boot and like the RG552 and 7" version and Im sold 😁😇

It depends what your use case is. If you like older retro games rg552, if you like games like psp and Dreamcast the x18s. The x18s has a better processor but the screen isn’t as good.

Mmjr doplhin version is much better than the stock dolphin version avaliable on the playstore.There are a lot of settings to set very well almost all games !!great choice for me!There are issues only with wii games ,gamecube games are ok with that emulator .These consoles with the new generation hardware is very interesting and i think we'll se soon a lot of interesting consoles out there !!

You need to download Black Seraph's Android build for the best performance. Powkiddy's Android build is garbage.

Your dolphin MMJR links are broken I'm going to see if I can find it manually. So annoying that GameCube Rocky is too slow on X18S to be playable 😠
