thinking about how someday you will inevitably perish and people will think of you for the last time is already sad. but growing up and coming back to see how companies massacred your old game box to be super bland, basically draining so much of the charm from it, is even worse. just imagine one day your favorite multiplayer game you love so much will be completely unplayable from server shutdowns or something else. hell, one day the xbox one/series x homepage will be reduced to this. it really is heartbreaking.

I'm 41. There are channels on youtube that play nothing but commercials from the 90s, 80s, 2000s, etc. that I'm subscribed to and watch. Sometimes I get legit pissed off when a youtube ad cuts into the retro commercials I'm watching. There are also channels that create what they call "bootleg editions" of programming blocks from the decades I mentioned before. Rinse Repeat is one of my favorite channels for that. You ever want to know what it was like to binge cartoons on Fox Kids on a Saturday morning in the 90s or watch Toonami in the mid to late 90s or early 2000s, he's got programming blocks for them, complete with commercials from the era that either did air with those shows or around the times of them. I forgot how much I loved the Dragon Ball Z ocean dub until I caught one of his Toonami editions.

I don’t have cable anymore, I just don’t watch TV ever, and I haven’t for a while. Because of that, the commercials in the early 2000s aren’t even “old commercials” to me, they’re just ingrained into my brain as that’s what commercials are. Idk how to explain it. It’s a similar feeling as when you see an actor you haven’t seen in a while and they look visibly aged, you kind of think “who is that??” because that’s not what they are in your brain. Lol memories are weird, especially as you get older and they begin to overlap and contradict

How are you supposed to use themes that you brought from the marketplace now? I'm pretty sure the section to change themes was in the section that's now gone thanks to the marketplace being closed. I also wonder how would you be able to download backwards compatible Xbox 360 games now after july 29th since you can still buy backwards compatibility games after the marketplace shut down. Last thing is what if you brought free game or something from the marketplace before it shut down but never downloaded it could you still get the games or themes you brought before the store closed even when you never downloaded it?
