Doubt it, there’s millions of people that no matter what, they are going to stay on Xbox.

They'll turn it into a streaming service eventually. You'll buy, at most, their fancy new controller and account ID, with it you'll be able create an online account whereby they can stream from their servers to any monitor you want e.g at home of course, on the move, in any Air bnb etc - something along those lines... You won't actually have control of your games, you won't own a copy of a game (though depending on the platform you use, you don't now either...), if they want to remove or censor etc at anytime, they'll do so. The hardware is just a drain for them currently - they don't actually make money from each console sold.... The way to go for the time being before the inevitable happens is physical (when the data is on disc etc), GOG and emulation.

Xbox series X is a beast tbh. You can play so many old school games on it and new stuff as well. I like the ps5 more but i hate that we ps5 player cant play ps3 or ps2 games it sucks. If i wanna play ps2 games or ps1 games on my ps5 i should be able to do that. The only option we have is orginal console or emulating on pc or android. I mean its so much more players on xbox on old school games becuse Microsoft do not only see the new Xbox as a powerhouse they see the potenial of people that want a oldschool machiine as well.

@@prizixz I think Sony's reasoning behind dropping that was something along the lines of "well that made the PS3 massive and everyone hated it, so why would we do that now?" Meanwhile Xbox manages to run most of its older games inside boxes that are still smaller than the PS5, while the Series X is at least on par in performance. I think they should revisit their back-compat policy now that you can fit an entire PS1 in the palm of your hand

imagine this being your first console. it feels impossible. mine was SNES and Sega Genesis. The limitations that those games taught me a lot of discipline and took a lot of skill to master and beat. I hope my kids appreciate the classics. Its amazing how some games still hold up today, while other games seems overly pixelated and clunky/muddy. Being 10 years old in 2002 felt like the best age to be and time in gaming. Games weren't too simple like NES or too over complicated to play like switch games today. Just the right amount of balance between Innovation and Passion.

They are, that's what Xbox does. Almost all of their backwards compatible library games are boosted to 60fps.

The Series X supports 8K video playback and has the potential for 8K upscaling in games. So mainly for videos if your tv supports it lol. As you can see it says 4k gaming up to 120fps under the 4k section. It doesn't say 8k gaming under the 8k section.

I personally love the all digital version since I play using game pass and if I buy a game I go digital, sometimes you get better prices in games as well. The other reason is that I have the ps5 disc version, if I want to buy a game physical, I'll buy for the ps5.

Some ppl don't understand that Microsoft doesn't specialize on hardware. The Xbox console is just a fraction of their sales, they specialize more on software like Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 but as I can see they're alot of haters and PlayStation kids in the comments.

Xbox has been looking to the future for years in building their cloud infrastructure and redefining the models of the industry. Sony has been playing their same hand for years because "if it ain't broke." But it's starting to show its age in the face of newer business practices. The next gen of gaming will be between the tech giants, and Sony is already struggling to get PS4 owners to upgrade to PS5.
