Every XC Skier Should Own This Ski | Brand New Fischer Spider 62 Skis | Quiver Killer
Well as I type this, there is now officially no snow anywhere to xc ski and especially nothing in the backcountry to take our other skis, the fischer s-bound 112s, out for a tour. In fact as of January 4 winter has yet to even show up at all. Mud season has officially started without winter this year. I really think mother nature is trying to convince us all that the climate issues are incredibly real and urgent. This gorgeous day on our new spider 62s otx's took place at the Great Glen Trails in Gorham, New Hampshire, at the base of Mt. Washington which is just about the best place possible this side of the Rockies to find snow when the rest of New England is lacking. Its weather is world renowned for its insane storms and absolutely unpredictable swings in attitude. Snow in mid summer is not uncommon and people ski its many ravines almost year round including Tuckerman Ravine where many stories say backcountry skiing started altogether. Great Glen is a magical setting and the snow did not disappoint either. We always have a memorable time there and i could just go and stare at the Presidential Range all day and be content with just that. The new skis did not disappoint either, in fact they allowed us to get out more days than we would have if we still only had our big wide 112s. If i was only able to buy one ski to do absolutely everything the spider 62s are the jam. Review coming soon because if we cant use our skis currently, the next best thing is to talk shop about them. Since its 50 degrees and pouring rain, that review is coming sooner than later for sure, but just know we are really excited about these and what they are capable of. Well everyone, I really hoped to have a lot of ski videos ready for you by this time both backcountry and some of the gorgeous ski centers we are known for here in the Nor'East but i do still have some and i cant think of a better time to do some long awaited gear reviews and general shootin' the shit about said gear. Everytime I get a comment or post a video I realize how important each of you are and what this little channel means to me. I cant say that enough. So thanks once again for being here and being YOU.

@@ThatMountainMoment, poor here in Vt., no skiing, couple of snowshoes and the fat bike has yet to leave the house. Positives, saving a bundle on heating the house, so more $$ for summer trips😀

There's always a positive. Though I am a New Englander that embraces winter and loves the feeling of being out in the woods when it's flocked in snow. Our backcountry skis are feeling neglected this year ha ha.
