In my experience when I used to play COD 6v6, viewership was always very low after the first couple months compared to battle royale. it's just a less enjoyable type of game to watch for many. People are much more interested in playing 6v6 arcade FPS than watching it

Personally I sometimes match up with the same players on queue refresh. I've always seen that as a bad sign for the player base of a game but aside from that the game usually works enough, I wouldn't call it dead but the amount of times I see the same people back to back can be concerning.

Activision then put MWR on sale leading up to the release of H2M because they were clearly watching its progress and then sent a cease and desist to the mod team the night before release. In doing so hoping to get as much money off MWR sales as possible from people who played over 2 hours and couldn't refund. Modding never does anything but keep games alive and foster a healthy community. But Activision was too scared of people playing their 10 year old game and not buying their garbage new game.

I can't help but feel it's true. I'm from South America and the game couldn't be any more dead. Searching for games on objective-based gamemodes and the Rockefeller playlist doesn't yield any result even if I wait 10+ minutes, and the only way to find something lately is by just searching for every mode. Even then I still have to wait some time just to find TDM (which I believe BTW was a huge mistake to add to the game).

It's not hard to buy into what Tom says because you can see it for yourself. The game has a huge content problem for many people (not for me yet), the connectivity can still be downright atrocious, and the battle pass content is dog water for a F2P game, so it's no surprise to hear there's a lack of players.

Yap sesh incoming This whole “purposely sabotaged” thing is actually so stupid. It’s clear most of you haven’t played a lot of the live service Ubisoft games. With the exception of division 2, and ghost recon breakpoint(2 huge titles by the way) all live service Ubisoft titles have failed. Hyperscape, Roller champions, rainbow six extraction skull and bones(this game isn’t going to last much longer sadly) and Xdefiant will unfortunately follow. I really don’t want to see the game fail, I enjoy it and cod needs to have good competition. But it’s going to fall into the typical Ubisoft live service hole. Lack of updates. All of those games I listed (with the exception of skull and bones) have failed most in part because of lack of updates. Hyperscape mainly died due to the devs taking way too long to address and fix balancing issues Roller Champions failed due to not much new content being added and also being a very niche game(you probably never heard of it) causing it to get shut down R6 extraction suffered from a lack of content, and didn’t have much of a real replay value causing support to end Skull and bones is suffering overall because of their own design choice and Ubisoft management, this game isn’t lasting more than a year Xdefiant is mainly suffering from a lack of content at the moment. I would argue it’s season 1 is almost as bad as MWII season 1. Only 2 new weapons, 3 maps(one taken from another game) and the new faction, and that was really all. If that is the norm each season, this game won’t last that long before upper management axes it just like they have multiple games before. The only “sabotaging” is being done by Ubisoft itself.

A word about your claim that only a fired employee would leak this--getting this news itself as a developer would be grounds for wanting to leak it. If you know you're working for the latest live service game--a game you love--that's going to be murdered by a company like Ubisoft, you're going to want to tell your playerbase if you care. Yes they are, have you seen majority of the maps of bo6 😂😂 small to medium, you know why? The arena style of xdefiant swayed them to do this. It had an all time high of 300,000 concurrent players. Bo6 is going to get old fast. 2 weeks tops once that sbmm/eomm really kicks in. They bait with the beta

The maps in xdefiant aren't quite as small as in Bo6 and they're much better designed though. The spawns are also so much better in xdefiant. I think the non-existent attention span of cod players influenced the small map design since I would assume most bo6 maps were designed before xdefiant came out. And then there are the multiple maps they stole from sledgehammer/MW3 S6 but idk when those were actually created.

Don't get me wrong Tom. Henderson can is very accurate with games. But also there's moments when he was wrong so it is just insider p**** already. I like you said admitted. I think the matchmaking taking so long is a bug, it used to be great until the Season 1 update dropped and then it became really slow, so I think it is glitched.

I think so too since I was having slower matchmaking (like taking up to a minute or two at most) a couple weeks ago but lately it's been fast again for me.
