To be fair, it's easy to mistake the 66F and 57. The "XM" means Experimental Model, and both of the tanks they are based on (neither actually carry the correct numbers, nice one WG) are from a similar project - thus, they end up looking fairly similar. A more fun thing is, the IRL project the XM57 is based on would have mounted nuclear propulsion, like the Chrysler TV-8 :)

​@@darkerone9410 BS, they buffed the existing vehicles, so they can also nerf them xD (i bought type 59 back in the days, and they nerfed it few times) AEG even made a video about it in the past, there is no rule which prevents them from doing so, but WG is afraid that the playerbase would stop buying overpovered premiums when possibility of nerfing them in the future would occur. But worry not, few more years with dumb WG op tank releasing policy and BZ 176 will be considered a DMG piniata

My friend bought me 11 lootboxes and I got this tank, I thought it was pretty bad, but I tried it and I enjoy it, the 630 alpha is legit epic. I also got the tier IV Ho-Ni II, I really hope you, as certified low tier enjoyers, will make a video about it in the future, 350 alpha (410 HE) at tier IV is FUN 😅

It was brought to give it a chance at penetrating the roof of many tanks when HE can't. It will slap the vast majority if not all roofs of the tanks in the game thanks to the 160mm caliber gun, guaranteeing 650 alpha just by abusing overmatch. BZ can't find overmatch itself in the roof with HE and deal full damage unless you hit cupola but with AP the whole roof is green.

AP absolutely prints credits. Zero feelbads about misses/80dmg nonpens. AP is pretty effective against angled plates, not just overmatch but normalization gives you some surprising shots HE would splash for double digits. AP also penetrates tracks which would otherwise eat the shots, and gives you nice sprocketwheel dmg+assistance hits.

after playing this tank alot, its really fun, one build with turbo aiming and rammer for big maps and another with turbo hardening and rammer for city maps. the accuracy isnt bad cause ive got every accuracy and gun handling crew skill + boa + concentration which is great on this tank cause turret. amazing if youve got a higher tier heavy to bounce shots for you and then you go round the corner and smack them for 1/3 of their hp and rinse and repeat. amazing on the medium flanks cause they generally have worse pen and your armour works better, also you can 1shot light tanks with he which is hilarous

IMO in comparison to the 66F, it trades accuracy and ROF for nuke dmg and pen. So it’s like a soviet shotgun version of the 66F. Even has the limited ammo count too.

I enjoy it much more than XM66. Not because of the higher alpha and pen, but I find the limited turret traverse of XM66 ridiculous. Why even make a turret if it rotates just 30 degrees? There is no visual part of the tank that would collide if it rotated a bit more. XM57 at least feels like it has the flexibility of a turret. But I dropped the rammer to get +7% accuracy because it is atrocious, even at short ranges. XM57 also has any chance of bouncing stuff with upper plate, allowing to expose more than just the gun.

This tanks is best a pair with T-103 or someove with tall armored turret but weak hull armor. But when you play against, this become piece of dog s**t because sometimes you cannot penetrate lower armor plate.

900 alpha with 90mm of pen is absolutely DISGUSTING with this TD. It's worse than the Grom having more alpha and more pen, which is no joke. I thought it was really bad when I saw this TD about three months ago in the leaks but it just works. It has enough armor and you don't want to trade HP vs this thing and it's quite quick to turn around and face opponents.

For us the armor only saved us from enemies who weren't aimed properly. It has weakspots all over. It's main features is the huge alpha and the turret traverse in our experience.

Go watch iyouxin video on what he did with the tank and the Nergal. He uses a friend in a Nergal to poke corners. It allows the XM57 to cover lower plate. Pretty cool idea.

1 To promote the new tanks and get views lol 2 It's not *completely* pointless. Players are mostly confused about the armor layout when going up against new tanks. In the XMs example we got penned super easily even though we were playing a new tank they had never seen before, which should let you know the armor is very unreliable.

This is so stupid... 😅🥲 90% of players hate the BZ-176 so here we have a brand new tank destroyer with 315 pene and 630 alpha that only does less than one thousand damage on HE ammo. And WG is rubbing its hands at what a great idea it was.
