Totally disagree. If he would have a good heart, he would not try to sadistically smash people, putting down not only their singing, but also their looks, personality etc. until they must feel like a heap of dirt. I bet some of them have left the audition with a permanent inferiority complex. I am sure a lot of people, who got "destroyed" by Cowell have gotten permanent depression and worse. But I guess that evil egotistical characters like him are more likely to "succeed" (meaning money and fame) in this elbow society we live in.
