Last year, my life was rough, puberty started badly, I was getting bullied by my “friends” and family. I started getting unhealthy, not eating, purging, over exercising, but never lost any weight. I was unhappy, wanted to die, started hurting myself. I cried every night, my life was horrible. I recovered, but not fully. I got more quiet. I got social anxiety. I didn’t want to go to school or anywhere. But I had to and my grades got worse. But I stopped not eating and I stopped self harming. But I still purge, and cry every night. This song helped me so much, staying alive. When I heard this song, there was just me and my creative mind. I thought about beautiful things, fantasy. It was always a time out from my problems, when I listened to this song. Thank you for creating it.

I think this represents one of the most beautiful declarations of love. Actually getting to know someone with more nuance than most people get to see, and it’s those things that are what you love about them most. And you adore those little things about them, seeing their regular everyday habits as elevated and lovable, loving their quirks and all. The circumstance of not being able to keep it is a little sad, but that’s not intrinsic in most of the song…they see knowing and loving this person as the same thing as dreaming of angels, and being with them is good enough to get through any unknown the world has to offer or will throw at them. I was listening to this song in high school, i thought life was shit but still i was living it to the fullest. Now 8 years after i listen to this song and cry, have to wake up at 6 to go to work which i dont like, which i don't want. I don't want to fill my CV, to learn new things so i can get better job, i don't want to have someone by my side so i can feel less alone and eventually produce little people so i could have a feel of purpose. I guess some souls can't get over being a teenager. I can't adapt to the world and my age, life in general. I wanted to buy a good phone so i can take quality photos of trips i plan to make but now looking at blury photos of little moments i realize i don't need anything. I just need my best years back. To live them all over again and then again and again. I don't want anything from life.

There was a time in my life when i was addicted to heroine, now im sober for months, living an average lifestyle. Today walking home from my skating ride i remind myself about that time. The sunrays were falling on my face and that song came to my mind. That I’ve walked a long, hard and painful way to be in this point, where i am, and that i was wrong last summer, there is still hope for my young, stupid self. Get up, there is a life to live.

Everybody seems to be so depressed about this song, and I just cant understand that cause I feel like, this song has so much peace. Like, I mean, for me, this song feels just like shes talking about herself. Her secrect self, that nobody can see. The truly person we have inside us, like, our weakness, fragitility, vulnerability, dreams, everything that feels just too personal to show for everyone, except for someone who's truly special. This song always reminds me of Christmas, idk why. I think there’s just something really ethereal and cosy and wintry about it. It’s one of those ‘alternative xmas songs’ if you know what i mean - when you’re either not ready for Band Aid and Mariah Carey, this one’s just great on a cold winter night to get you in the mood. Beautiful song.
