@holdaas actually, upon further analysis, he DEFINITELY is off time. I'm not saying thats a horrible thing, it doesn't effect the song too much, it just seems for the first few measures that he is slow with the bass drum hits and then makes up for it by making the claps really fast. I was probably exaggerating by saying he was "really" off time.

That drum pad he's using has a metronome light. Also they may all be using earpiece clicks. If it sounds like there's a fault in the tempo it's just the way they wrote the song.

totally in your boat... their album is nice, and thats it... i personally think their live acts arent interesting, lack energy (not as in aggresive, mogwai sound fucking epic and powerfull without the need of bing potent), it doesnt sound compact or as a profesional band at all, but... to each its own
