I didn’t watch SNL very much growing, and of all the times I just happened to glance at the TV when my dad was watching it, I saw THIS performance! Ended ip checking out their stuff and I’ve been a fan since then! Can’t believe that was 8 years ago, I was barely through high school LOLOLOL

Finally I found this. I thought it was a fever dream. Family was watching SNL on Thanksgiving and we were cracking up at the dancing with the guitars part. We thought it was a skit pretending to be a musical performance.

The xx doesn't give a fuck and I love it. They are who they want to be and make music that is unique, creative, and above all authentic. They don't portray this over the top, fame-crazy group that just wants the ratings. Their dancing is awkward and totally raw, which fits their energy so well and I found it to be a refreshing twist on performances I've seen on SNL. They haven't done something this huge in American television before and Im glad they're getting more and more recognition, their music is like nothing else.

I love this song. The guitars both lead and bass remind of the guitars from 80's English bands like The Cure on top of a cute little funky 808 beat. And I love the samples he's playing (in the back) that he's got programmed into two small separate MIDI instruments. That actually looks like a lot of fun! I dig this track. They look so surprised by all the love too. I love it! Nice to see some artists are actually still humble and appreciative. It's nice to see. Heartwarming.

Well i don't think he is using launchpads, they are more like drum pads. and the fact that he has two is the point of him getting a launchpad. Like a novation launchpad where there are more triggers so he wont have to run back and forth.
