Carlos Santana is a switch hitter. Supposedly, his glove is still decent. And he made $5.5 MM last year, so it fits their payroll parameters, especially on a 1-year contract.

Did you watch Bellinger last season? His contract was so bad it was considered untradeable before he played a single game on that contract. It took a desperate team that missed out on its top targets and lost Soto for the Cubs to get out from under it. On the flip side it’s a good deal for the Yankees bc he won’t have anywhere near as much pressure to produce at the plate with all the offensive talent around him. Cubs are lucky as hell they found someone to take Bellinger’s contract without having to pay half or more of his salary.

Tanner Scott to Devin, Burnes to Fried and now Soto to Bellinger? Cash is having a good off season yet lets be happy the league isn't better as we have seen this player before even Stanton wasnt the player he was before and these gems never work out so this is the only move left. These basically the solid moves Cash has made yet not big moves after losing Soto.
