Thank You Dawn, LOL when I say my wife wanted me to make something it's her giving me Idea's so she can sell them on Etsy. lol although the next 2 I make are for her also but not for her as she wants to give one to her Aunt and she is trading my work for someone else's work got get herself a quilt. LOL I feel like I am getting the short end of the stick this time.

I was an artist so I have a good Grasp on what art is and you sir are a truly inspiring artist. I loved the commentary at 13:38, it was like a Smurf talking to himself debating weather to cut the holes in it! 😊 I didn't know what a yarn bowl was before I saw this so I Googled it. I wish you had showed it with some wool in at the end. No matter though, its still a beautiful object.👍 Thanks for sharing. I have never seen anything quite as funny in a turning video, as you getting covered up with those resin ribbons. I actually had tears in my eyes. Beautiful project. I don't think I could have cut it up. I'd have probably got a less attractive piece of wood to do it to. Kudos, and thanks for the laffs.

I love it. I would have left off the holes and just done the swirl. As a crocheter I would never put my yarn the holes because it would fray the yarn. Actually just the having the bowl for my yarn would make me happy. Beautiful job

That's a real pretty chunk of wood, and I could almost feel the pain with each hole. As for the curly bit, you did it justice. That is one beautiful yarn bowl; it almost made me wish I could paint with yarn! But yarn and paint don't really work with what I do... real pretty chunk of wood!

Beautiful figure in the wood. One thing I’ve found to help fill cracks with resin is to mix in 10% DNA thins it also gives you more “open time”. I hate cutting out the tail for yarn bowls. 👍🇺🇸

You really need a vibrating table. All it takes is a tabletop set with rubber stoppers inside a cage, and a cheap concrete vibrator like the one I bought on eBay for small concrete pours. It'd get the resin down and let the bubbles out beautifully! I'd love to see how a vibrating table and a vacuum pot worked together - if the vibrations would pop the bubbles that make vacuum treatment so tricky, so you could pull the air out of compromised timber and really fill it with the resin.

The "yarn bowl" title really got my attention - had never heard of such a thing. It turned out beautifully! (I like the way you decided on which area to drill. Put it on a shelf, turn the cut side to the back, and you have a gorgeous display piece.)

The bowl is amazing. There are nail drills for manicures that have drum sander bits you could use to file those tight spaces.
