Thanks for another great video Gideon. Always knowledgeable & enthusiastic, featuring interesting & budget friendly items for those of us who like to collect & experiment! I've just bust my monthly budget on an EOS 1N from LCE (largely because of the service you received with your 5), What an incredible camera though for a tiny fraction of it's original price. I can't remember enjoying a camera as much, ever. Thanks for the inspiration, keep the videos coming!

Nice presentation Gideon. I remember selling those new during my photographic retail from 1964 to to late 90s.

I picked up an Electro 35 GS for £15 locally during lockdown. PoD is fine, electrics ok as it has the later gold plated wiring. It works!! There are occasionally slightly worrying odd buzzing noises though 🙄🤣 Can’t complain at the price though. I also have a Yashica Minister D that I am yet to shoot. Thanks for the video man; have considered a Lynx before, but do I really need another camera 🤔 No, but that obviously won’t stop me!🙄🤷‍♂️🤣👍📸

Of course you need another camera, the correct number of cameras to own is 'one more'

I bought an Electro 35 GTN for £75 off eBay. The seller said "fully tested and working with new light seals". None of which was true as my camera repair guy told me. He also told me that the cost to get it working properly would be more than it was worth. So I thanked him and told him to bin it. Also, the shutter speed on the Electro only goes as far as 1/500th if I recall correctly.

The 5000E has max shutter speed of 1/1000s.

Yep 1/500 on an Electro, 1/1000 on the Lynx

I have one of these and it produces beautiful images. Mine however is temperamental in so much as it doesnt always fire the shutter after winding on. Sometimes I have to crank the wind lever a couple of times before the shutter will fire wasting frames 🙁 The lens is superb, I wish I could find somebody who could repair mine as otherwise my copy is mint.
