The wax finish is fantastic and really gives the room a 'mature / aged' look rather than new and shiny varnish. Well done Gilboy 👍👍. It looks very elegant and hopefully a rather restrained approach could be adopted when adding gold mouldings so that the elegance is not diminished. Great progress nevertheless.

I knew the bed wasn't long for the room! Wait until the room is completed and all the gold leaf is applied and then decide what type of OVER THE TOP bed is the appropriate choice. You really don't need outside opinions when your own innate ability has always led you to the exact fit. Both of you are a dream team and have set the bar high for all who are renovating similar chateaus. Crack on my gifted duo. God Bless.....

Ash has testified to few curse words bc of Terry changing his mind & making more work, but so far it’s always a change for the better like the added circle in the garden. And hopefully now that the plumbing lines are ran in the bathroom, that plan is set in stone. We’ll see. Designers are known for last minute changes for the better!

TERRY! I think you should create courses teaching these techniques so it’s doesn’t get lost in time. You could probably use all the video material you already have. I’m sure people would buy the courses. I don’t know if you guys follow Anna & Philip from How to renovate a chateau, she developed courses and I’m sure would help you with tips and hacks. Think about it! It’s another source of income.

My arthritic fingers were sore just watching you use those tiny brushes. I was on team varnish bc I thought you were using more of a matte finish wax. I really like the added tint in the wax & its shine. It gave it more depth & it’s more in keeping with the age you’re going for too
