The Anderton Boat Lift is another thing I've never seen Vanessa. I never realized how innovative and inventive our English ancestors were and Edwin Clark is someone I now have to read about . The English have invented the most important devices that mankind use. I think Zephyr's priority on her Bucket list will be Biscuits followed by stick chewing. Lovely vlogas usual, The picture of Zephyr was amazing we both lost the biscuit challenge, Nice your coming to the Canals near us ,Hope the Water is OK in the Rochdale it can get low we live about half a mile from it, I first sailed it in 1966 between locks 90-91 on a mould for a Commer minibus roof when iwas apprentice, Happy days take care.😊

Vanessa I could feel your excitement to the boat lift as well as see your joy Fantastic fungi finds I have yet to find a fly agaric growing but in the last few years developed an allergy to tree leaf mould that gives me horrendous Bronchiectasis ( non cystic fibrosis) coughing & mucus put paid to me walking in woodland under trees that I love Bad enough with spores in open spaces ( sometime with face mask ) if I can tolerate the breathing I doubly enjoyed your search The painting of Zephyr is beautiful very lifelike like the zephyr we love 💗

The Marbury woodlands in your vlog look awesome in the Spring. They are cloaked bluebells, wood anenomies and wild garlic. I saw a few button Fly Agaric this morning. I just hope they arent kicked over before they peak again this year. The grow in close association with more mature Silver Birch trees... but you'll probably know that. 😀 The Silver Birches are quite prolific around Anderton, but i'm not sure if its the relatively young age of them or the ash and lime residue that works against the Fly Agaric. I find the Weaver a calming river too. It's in no great rush to get anywhere, and the deep blackness of the water is sometimes beautiful, especially with autumn mists rolling across it. Wonderful Vlog as always, thank you. 😁

Lovely video as usual. Still watching as I type. I've always dreamed of the narrowboat life, since the first time my family had a holiday on one when I was 17 (55 now). Unfortunately I was destined to live poor and never could afford to make the change, but that may change in the next few years. Videos like yours scratch an itch and encourage me to keep chasing that dream, the one my friends are sick of me talking about. I truly believe that the standard model of living: house, mortgage, credit, car, rat race jobs just to keep paying for the minimum etc is an extremely unnatural and stressfull way of living and in many ways imposed upon us and difficult to escape, so it is only natural that some of us find it so unsatisfying and yearn to break free of it. Who could've guessed back in the industrial revolution that they were in fact creating one of the best and most beautiful features of the nation for the future? Keep on posting Vanessa, long may you love doing what you do and long may you keep it :)

I read the novel, The Narrowboat Summer, a couple of years ago, and was instantly intrigued by the narrowboat. I am too old and have chronic health issues to begin a narrowboat journey, so, I so much enjoy going along with you on yours! Thank you for what you do, and for sharing it!!! What a wonderful vlog…again…..so many incredible, amazing and beautiful sights packed in! And the portrait of Zephyr, can’t wait to see it on your wall! We are relieved the title this week means continuing on with your Narrowboat life…we were a little worried! I just purchased my “Vanessa” mug at a local craft fair…beautiful blue glazed top and handle with a natural sandy textured clay bottom surrounded by fungi imprints of all sorts!
