Tokugawa Yoshimune, the 8th shogun, or ""Abarenbo Shogun,"" was the supreme power of the Edo Bakuhu. Yoshimune, highly respected as a great lord, ventures out into the city and beats the bad guys under the name of Tokuda Shinnosuke, a young samurai.
This is a familiar entertaining historical drama! It is the memorable first series of ""Abarenbo Shogun,"" the masterpiece of popular star Mastuken, Matsudaira Ken. Yoshimune's personality is depicted through the relationship between him and Shinnosuke and the home drama with the people surrounding the ""Megumi"" firemen. The unique plot that the Shogun himself defeats evil made the series extremely popular, which has remained its popularity for over 20 years. Shigeru Amachi also plays the role of a doctor at the Koishikawa Yoseiyojo, adding stability to the series. The first series is full of valuable episodes depicting how Yoshimune assumed the position of Shogun and how he met Megumi's Tatsugoro and Ooka Echizen. ""Yonokaowowasuretaka!"" ""Seibai!"" A painful picture of a love betrayed and the pain of a mother whose child chose the path of destruction and she must live with those memories of his birth, childhood and than what he did as an adult. The pain will be there forever. What we do or not do - affects others, like a outward ripple. He had no Father to teach him how to be a good man. This story shows that a child needs a father too. A mother can only do so much. As my Dad told me, as a teen he was taller and stronger than his mother. Losing his Dad at age 7, his older brother who could discipline him at 14, my grandmother had to let him go his own way. He learned the hard way that alcohol was not the answer to the pain and anger and the boys he was around were not a good influence. He had to choose which path to travel. He married my Mom, adopted my brother and I. We had a wonderful childhood with two parents who loved each other deeply and cared enough to discipline us when warranted. My dad was hit with a branch to discipline him- he used his hand on my butt when I refused to listen, 5 firm slaps was all he did and never in anger. Afterwards, I would get a hug and told I was still loved. Imagine this memory becoming precious to me now, I never would have thought at the time. I mostly thought I was hard done by. I had now idea how blessed I was until I learned what other kids had to live with, divorce, drunk parents, cruel and uncaring parents, being the child of an affair and the extended family treated them differently - not in a good way. Parents with mental health issues- the list goes on. Thanks for the reminder.
