I just removed Otep songs from our playlist for a meeting with online gaming friends because I thought they were too dark or "too metal". I think we should watch this together, cry, and then listen to those songs, from the album Sevas tra. Art saves. Otep Shamaya, you're one of the best.

Their music dragged me through some difficult times, especially in my teenage years and after my mom kicked me out of her house... It always empowered me and reminded me that I need to keep fighting, be brave, be me.
