Many people do not seek treatment in the early stages of mental illness because they do not recognize the symptoms. Screening can help. Screening is an anonymous, free, and private way to learn about your mental health and if you are showing warning signs of a mental illness.
Don’t wait to get help, take a free screening, and act Before Stage 4.

I'm recovered too (13 years) and I can relate to so much of what you shared. (Which is funny for someone who finds it specially difficult to relate to people's experiences). I left the mainstream. In my country drugs are just part of the issue. But now, what I play and post (like you mentioned: jumping and laughing like a 5 year old), gives me the hope and joy to let others know, there is a different way... Not just chemical wise, but... also inner healing-vibrating wise. With out competitions etc etc ... Just pureness and joy. Thank you for what you're doing. God bless.

Wes, you are my favorite guitar player of all time. Your music and playing is top notch. Everybody knows that. But now you do this? This is super insightful and cool of you. It's going to help a lot of people and the way you highlighted how people hide in addictions and then how you found ways out and got better here is just really great. Wishing you great success. Hlad you found another calling. You are such a leader bud.

What an awesome interview. Thank you, Wes, for sharing your story, and for Rock to Recovery and The You Rock Foundation for existing to make sure musicians, who add so much to our lives, have full and joyful lives themselves. As a mental health counselor who uses music and live shows as my own therapy so I can keep doing my job helping others, I thank ALL musicians, and YOU MATTER.

Man, Broke was my favorite album when I was a teenager. It was perfect for my angsty, edgy, angry tendencies and it was a great outlet. I was recently searching for music I used to listen to and came across the album again, which led me to this. It's so awesome to see that you've gone on to do something that has such a positive impact on so many people. Good for you, man.
