They are still far ahead of the rest, hundreds of bands and projects have tried, some achieved an ephemeral impact but only The Young Gods managed to stay in the future, without copying themselves or repeating themselves, constantly innovating. How many great and well-known artists have achieved that merit? Exactly, very very very few. The music of The Young Gods is a gift from the universe to us mere mortals.

I was a big fan of The Young Gods when they first started (that debut album was and still is astonishing). For some inexplicable reason, they slipped off of my music radar but I am now delighted to be back, and delighted that they are still going. What an amazing gig that must have been. Hopefully I’ll be able to see them play live again when all of this Covid nonsense is over and finished with.

Same here. I had the chance to see them live just once, back in the late nineties, and it was amazing. They changed through the years but still they are a great band. Nice to see them on the Hellfest stage!

Fantastic 2 gigs in London last year - TYG back on top form with a vengeance - still one of the most powerful live bands out there. They could easily headline Glastonbury and show all and sundry what a decent band looks and sounds like.

Good to see Franz is as cool as ever. Salut, Franz! Envoyé is one of my most favourite songs and I still have the 12-inch somewhere. We were on the same bill with them at Klub Foot, at the Clarendon in London, with The Butthole Surfers. The original line-up with Cesare on sampler and that crazy roof tiler, Frank on drums. Just an awesome band and our jaws dropped during their sound check (a Shock Headed Peter)

Cela me rappelle cet ami musicien, un homme estimable qui m'a dit après avoir avalé trois verres de Gigondas qu'il croyait très fort à l'arrogance, détestait l'idée de soumission, d'humilité, et que s'il devait subir une forme de contrainte ou dictature, il préférerait toujours qu'elle soit exercée par les masses que par l'élite musicale. Nous pouvons négocier avec les masses. Avec l'élite musicale, c'est difficile, elle parle trop fort xD
