Mike was sort of a straight man in the comedy foursome and was needed to be a leader for the rest. Otherwise it would’ve been just plain out of control - which it wasn’t far away from to be honest! Also, Christopher Ryan was the only one of the group who was an out and out actor whereas the rest were primarily comedians. I liked Mike anyway, I always wanted to be the”cool one” lol

Because Mike had two of the funniest scenes in the entire show. One when he nails himself to the kitchen table "Ive just nailed my legs to the table..." and when he is "helping" to carry the coffin in the video nasty episode of "Harry the Bastard" and still look like hes carrying a ton of coal.
