This episode was pretty tame compared to others. Where do you think all of those "Family guy" cut scenes and segways came from. I'm not a fan of Ben Elton but this shows format was cutting edge at the time. Kind of the last original anti establishment thing ever made.

This is just an observation and not meant to offend anyone. But does anyone else find this show is a lot patchier than we remember? I mean, when it works, it's genius. But there's a lot of stuff in there that falls pretty flat. Like Mike's non-sequitirs, the irrelevant fantasy sequences, or Alexei Sayle. I still love the show. I guess my view of it has just gotten less rose-tinted as time has gone on :(
