13 is way too young. I feel like 18 should be the minimum. The entertainment industry is hard enough for the adult idols and several of the older idols have already talked about how they wished they hadn't debuted so young and what it did to them mentally. I feel so protective of all these girls already so I hope YG does them right.

YGE is waiting for Chikita to turn 14 (her birthday is now in the beginning of February), so in that way she'll be no different from NewJean's Hyein and Ive's Leeseo when they debuted. Also, Haeun from Lapillus debuted at 13yo. The agencies nowadays are looking for Idols who can last a long period, we're talking 10+ years in the industry. Also, lemme just tell you that BABYMONSTER is going to DOMINATE the industry.

I think it’s not really a big deal if someone is debuting at a young age. Just thinking about how hard the girls have been training wanting to debut and with such an incredible talent, why not? Anyone who works hard and have a talent deserves it. And YG is one of the top entertainment out there. I’m sure the girls will be guided just fine. I beieve that most of the videos were from two years ago since these are their evaluations performance. So they might be two years older than what it says on the video but it is letting you know where they were at when were put together as a unit. So I am thinking that they are around 15-17 now and imagine how much they have improved since these videos.

Discussion: Age: for me honestly I'm here for talent not age there are so many artists celebrities younger than her and this is not the 1st time YG debuted a young idol. Cuz if she didn't debut now she might not have a chance to be in a group like this ever again and that a very big waste of talent. Chikita: she's like that cuz she's been performing at the age of 8 mostly in dancing but her family is known to be good singers, she's not new to entertainment industry cuz her family is in that field in Thailand so she's exposed in a very young age and I'm sure she knows what what in this industry. Dance performance: That dance performance is just from there monthly evaluation in YG. There only 5 member's cuz that is from 2021 and the Thai girl just join YG that Year that's why they are not there. YG: for the group they are young so that the new generation grow up with them YG is going for the long run. And last year YG hired 3 more therapist it's maybe preparation for BM to help and guide them. YG don't overworked their Idols they are just bad at comebacks so I don't see any problem YG is known to build young talent. 👍😎

Whoever dominates the teenage and 20's market is the one who will become the world famous group. People in their teens and 20's are most attractive, in their prime and will gain more fans of the young generation. That's how the world works. See the most famous groups 4th gen groups right now, Enhypen, Newjeans, NCT Dream. They still have many more years to continue attracting fans. Who do you think 13, 14, 15 year olds will stan, Red Velvet, Twice or Baby Monster, Ive and Newjeans? EXO or NCT Dream? New fans want to stan idols who are in their prime for longer and closer to their age. That's why after Bigbang everyone went to BTS. More people are going to stan NCT Dream now rather than SuperJunior.

Life is full of controversy Sam. Chiquita obviously wants to be here training to debut as an idol and is more obviously talented enough to be there. So why should she be penalized for being 13? When I was in 4th grade (9 years old) back in the 60s the local recreation department had a basketball program for 5th and 6th graders, but not 3rd and 4th graders. But somehow the coach recognized my ability and lobbied to get me on his team. I'm sure there were some who said I shouldn't be playing basketball with 5th & 6th graders but I wanted to. I just wanted to play and learn. I realize we are talking about a potential career with Chiquita and not a kids basketball league but you said it yourself when you said she is has a mature voice. The important thing is that she is guarded/protected from the pressures of this industry, pressures that would overwhelm some adults, let alone teens, and she is managed properly.

Well not only that dance performance was their monthly evaluation dance performance from 2021, but It's also a YG thing to have that individuality within group performances.
