There is reason why he is considered most influential monk of modern Korean Buddhism, and most effective. (And most dangerous, to political Korean monks.) Straight talk. Not being shy of controversy, if it pointing to truth. Great compassion mind. Deep committed. We so sad he left Korean Buddhism to the West.

not study.. study is intellectual approach and only bring more suffering. This monk is sitting in silent with great intensity and without interruption.

Maybe don’t go on a Zen retreat when screaming in pain all the time.
