Now this is bloody awesome! I'd love to see the uncut footage of Sam crossing the line even if it is hours long!

Unfortunatly the drone doesn't fly that long :D. True story - like 10sec after Sam finished his sent, my drone was automatically recalled due to low battery (was filming from the other side of the highline) - nearly missed the most important part.

Amazing work to you all! What was the use of the second line that could be seen at times some distance away? Congrats :)

The second line is for air safety. We had to register this obstacle with the swiss air space control. One condition was to attach orange ballons and red-white flags to make it more visibile. As you couldn't use a leash when this stuff is attached, a second line was installed.

how did you anchor it?
@SlacktivityCh7 жыл бұрын
4 M12 bolts each side. On one side in limestone on the other side in a granite. The forces are low, they did never exceed 4kN (400kg).

Could you list the gear you've used for setting up this highline?
@SlacktivityCh7 жыл бұрын
There was quite something involved... 600m 2mm tagline, 600m 4mm tagline, 1200m HalfMarathon-Webbing, Anchor point gear on both sides, a few ropes to secure ourselves, Microtraxion and similar gear to pull the ropes over, fisher thread and drone for the connection.
