I'm still waiting for the Zillo beast clone to show up in a comic book or something ! Narratively if they just straight up failed to clone the creature that would be a waste of a statement really.

I think palpatine was able to successfully clone it because he was able to eventually make clone bodies to force transfer into and until then the force itself would not allow clones to be force sensitive. It rejects the host and they perish, that's exactly why darth vader didn't regrow his limbs, the risk was just too great. But sidious figured it out. So yeah that giant lizard is a piece of cake bud lol.
