I was just filming all day at the zoo. Pilipili and the cubs were a joy the watch. He really is a big brother. The video should be ready soon

I can’t ID the cubs by their names yet. What I can say is that of the three cubs, 2 seem to hang out together more often and the third guy seems to prefer to be by himself a lot of the time. Of the two that hang out together, one seems to be the trouble maker. I was talking with one of their trainers and she said she can ID them by their spots. You're welcome! It was a great day just watching those guys interact with themselves and the pride. One of the little guys kept biting other lion's tails. At 29:10 he bit Pilipil’s tail - that was not a good idea. Pilipili gave the cub a firm scolding.

they get enrichment (stimulating toys and food puzzles)! wild lions generally spend most of their day chilling anyways - they spend anywhere from 15 to 20 hours of sleep a day 😮 they’re just fine; if anything, it shows they feel secure and happy because they don’t have to worry about predators and needing to be on the move to find food 🎉

Why is pilipili not playing with cubs that r growing up so fast!

I can’t answer that, I was there all day. Even dad Jabari just let the cubs play by themselves. There is one cub who seems to be the chief mischief maker. It will be interesting to see what happens as they grow older, and like you say they are growing fast. They seemed bigger and more active after just one week. The cubs aunts, the 2 grown females, also kept their distance most of the time too. I was happy too see Pilipili's mom, Zari, share a little love with him.

I went to the zoo a few days ago when it was cold outside and dreary and the cubs weren't outside!!! Just like last year I went to see their older brother pilipili and he was just sleeping whole time we were there. I'm going again this week hopefully tomorrow they will be outside playing jumping on their dad and older brother
