At the core, the difference between Bakugo and Deku (and the reason All Might gives both of their goals credit) is that they've learned different lessons from All Might. For Deku, All Might is the best because he saves people. For Bakugo, he saves people because he's the best. The emphasis is only slightly different, but they both lead to the same goal -- both of them want to be a hero who never fails.

I love when they finally explain everything Bakugo is going through. And how he begins to grow emotionally. He is similar to Endeavour in that he's supremely talented, but doesn't get the emotional side of it all. And as I said before, Deku & Kachan are childhood friends. Bakugo couldn't Express this to anyone else. None of his squad at all. But the exposition is necessary to understand why things happen and why they act a certain way. It's as deep as you look at it. But you gotta dig into it. They don't throw it all in front of us like American tv

Probably in the top 5 MHA eps so far. It had everything and each element was at its best. Animation. Music. Voice acting. Character moments. That moment when the music cuts out and the background goes all black, you just hear n see Deku’s footwork is iconic. 10/10 flawless episode.

All Might was right when he said they had equal strengths. Deku wants to save everyone, but he’s dumb about it. He dives in, does moves that leaves him weakened/vulnerable, and is too forgiving /not aggressive with villains that should probably be put down permanently. You NEED aggression when dealing with villains. Meanwhile, Bakugo’s desire to win is the type of thing that pushes you to fight smarter. Remember when he told people with minor injuries to take care of themselves in that exam drill? He was correct there. Deku would have wasted his time on them while other things went to sh!t. Bakugo is very much a small Endeavor and you’ll see in the next two seasons how his desire to be the best is a strength in itself. You combine Deku and Bakugo and yeah, you have a great hero.
@VIRJALEN2 жыл бұрын
Bakugos ambition to be the strongest really is a good aspiration for a hero to have it’s not like he could help anybody if he was weak. In MHA your reason for being a hero doesn’t really matter as long it pushes you to get the job done.

Well, it's nice to see you guys be a little more receptive to Bakugou now, but as I said in your previous reaction, being a nice guy isn't a requirement to become a successful hero. After all, being a wife beater and a plain all around dick sure didn't prevent Endeavor (who you guys even brought up yourselves) from taking the #2 spot while All Might was still an active hero, so you should definitely give Kacchan a chance! 😉
@tianaquantussy49972 жыл бұрын
Yeah but Endeavor will never be the #1 hero Bc of his troubling very bad personality lol, so Kacchan should make some changes
@whiteknight87342 жыл бұрын
Lol, Kacchan is no less bad than Endeavour. Endeavour was a wife beater but he is all round well -behaved during his hero duties and have the most number of completed Hero cases in history of Japan. (He started after All Might and Surpassed him before All might retired). Bakugo's only excuse is that he was a kid. but he was no less vile of a person than Endeavor even as a kid. The things about Deku and Bakugo's childhood that's been revealed in Manga (i won't spoil them here), Bakugo is literally getting whitewashed in the anime version over an episode by saying he too feels emotion and weak. I have yet to meet a manga reader who has read the whole story and considers Bakugo a redeemed person, let alone a proper hero till the very end of the story. He has so so much more to do before he can be called redeemed.
@Sheechiibii2 жыл бұрын
@@whiteknight8734 'Endeavour is a wife beater but...' yeah, Bakugou is less bad than Endeavour. He's not a wife beater and he's not an adult, as you just said. Those things absolutely make him not as bad. He's both done less harm and did it before an age where he's old enough to be considered fully responsible for his actions. Unlike Endeavour.
@whiteknight87342 жыл бұрын
@@Sheechiibii Did you read the manga? If not, please don't argue about some of the things you don't know . You do understand that this complete anime is from Midoriya's point of view right? So parts of the things that you see here aren't really as accurate as you think. Deku is kind and forgiving by nature, so he naturally doesn't think of Bakugo for all the horrible things he had done to Midoriya, also in the anime the skipped most of the bullying part, but more is probably yet to come in next few seasons. I don't wanna spoil it but Bakugo at one point bullied Midoriya so much as far as telling Midoriya to kill himself because he was a quirkless loser and Midoriay did think of suicide. I don't give af about Bakugo being a kid or "having trouble expressing his feelings' , under no circumstances bullying your fellow classmate is okay, definitely not to that level that he thinks that killing himself would be better than living. Being a kid can't be an excuse for bullying others in the worst kind of ways. everyone had a childhood and most people don't bully others as a kid. and he has done less harm? so you actually believe , than mentally and physically tormenting a kid is less damaging than doing the same thing to an adult? I actually wonder how old you are to be honest cause your logic is not as mature you would like to think they are
@Sheechiibii2 жыл бұрын
@@whiteknight8734 I guess you're forgetting about the existance of Endeavour's children. Yes, an adult being physically and emotionally abusive to an adult and children is worse than a child being physically and emotionally abusive to another child. I don't see how you can possibly argue otherwise. Everything you are saying about Bakugou applies even moreso to Endeavour, who as I said has done worse without the excuse of being a child. Which is why legally what Endeavour did would be punished far more severely.

I don’t agree with all the people saying you guys don’t understand Bakugo’s character. I think you’re allowed to criticize someone while understanding where they’re coming from. Not everyone likes characters like him anyways and I like seeing different points of view. Just bc they don’t stan him like you do doesn’t mean they’re bad reactors. Bakugo is an asshole and doesn’t know how to deal with emotions properly, they’re right about that. Yes he’s not a one note caricature but he is a jerk, nothing he says or does will change that. I was constantly frustrated with him too at this point in the show

Redemption only begins when a person understands his faults to begin with. People have such a biased opinion about this show's redemption arcs. Bakugo is far far away from being redeemed. He has only started to seen himself for who he is and toned down his ego. Real redemption will only start when he starts reflecting on all the horrible things he did to Deku during their childhood and change himself.

I have to dissagree about Bakugou's mum, in the few minutes we saw her she acted like episode 1 Bakugou, emotionally and physically abusive. If she didn't seem like an @sshole then how can Bakugou? Just to make a few things clear. Deku and Bakugo are essentially brothers. They don’t like each other and they aren’t friends, but they have a long history neither can really abandon because Deku wants to surpass Bakugo. More so than he wants to surpass All-Might. They are now officially rivals and not a bully and victim. They still aren’t friends and Bakugo honestly STILL didn’t accept anything about Deku as a person during this fight. But he does accept All-Might’s decision and respects the power he has. And since he wants to surpass All-Might he has to keep himself ahead of Deku who is guaranteed to surpass him one day as the new holder. You can’t be rivals without mutual respect. And although Bakugo still respects next to nothing about Deku himself at this point, it’s still enough to qualify. And Bakugo LOVES to compete and show he’s the best so honestly Deku is a good person to compete against. Is it healthy? No it’s still toxic. But it’s SEVERAL notches up from the early seasons. They can one day make it to ground zero and not WELL beneath it. And that’ll be when they’re friends. Dating? No. Leave Uraraka for Deku. She’s too good for Deku to go with someone that doesn’t have the capability for a relationship like that.
