OneR sharpening is an in-camera setting that’s also in the original. Change it! Also, you do not need the desktop app to work with videos on your PC if you record with in-camera video stabilization turned on (or you don’t want FlowState stabilization) then the MP4 files are ready to go. Again, this is also possible with the original OneR though in-camera stabilization they call “basic” but the results are more than great and most won’t see a difference.

Great comparison. I was considering getting a Hero 10 but seeing that the Insta can keep up for 200€ less is very impressive. Especialy considering that you can get the twin edition for 570€ where as you would have to pay over 1000€ to get the same with Gopro.

last year I bought the One R with one-inch-mod and 360 mod. Due to the fact, that the 4k mod was still míssing I upgraded to the one rs with 4k mod and am happy with it 🙂

i dont own the insta360 one RS yet, and got put off by the sound quality. Its lower, so i asked on twitter and they answered with this: we will have a firmware upgrade shortly that further optimizes the audio quality! Thanks for the feedback! So im hoping to see reviews than with the optimized sound.

Insta360 are miles better than gopro for firmware updates, fixing bugs and feedback. The worse quality is mainly because the one rs has a wind noise filter in the case that cuts the audio wind noise. See other videos on here that show the noise filter

I bought the Insta360 Trio Edition (1-inch, 4K & 360 Lens) with Quick Reader, Extra Battery Base, Fast Charger, some CPL filter for 1-inch mod and HOHEM gimbal for them. Couldn't be more happier.

Is there any downside to using the 1inch lens over the 4k boost? Seems like if I got the 1inch mod the 4k boost becomes a tad defunct.

I have a GoPro hero 7 and a hero 8. I have found opening and closing the battery access door every time I need to do a USB transfer very difficult most of the time and is very fragile. The GoPro hero 10 has the same door. The Insta360 one rs has a quick reader option which is much easier to use and is a vast improvement. The Insta360 one rs USB port is mechanically a vast improvement over the GoPro hero 10 and is the main reason why I will purchase the Insta360 one rs and will not purchase the hero 10.

Great video! One question I still have, is the Insta360 of the accessories compatible with those of GoPro such as the chest harness. I do not mean the electronic accessories, only those to attach the camera or for example the floating tripod of GoPro. Thank you very much!

Interested in the Insta but haven't seen any clear statements on charging. Their website says it charges via USB-C but can the camera be used WHILE it is plugged in?

Yes, it can. It can even be used without the battery if you have a USB-C power source.

Nice info. I have just bought the RS. I'm after a dive case but I'm trying to find out it the actual lens external dimensions are the same on the old 4k and the new 4k boost lens. If so I can get a case for the older 4k for less than half the price and use the original battery.

@@giuliosgarra486 it’s worth the money to have two cameras recording at different angles and at the same time. The money isn’t the issue when you have the freedom of both recording at the same time for a great multi point of view.

I lost my gopro max last week and my gopro 8 broke down this summer, heard that gopro is not bringing out a new max2... I'm interested in the insta 360 one RS, is it worth it or should I better buy another gopro max? ps; yes I like to have an action cam and also a 360 cam What do you advice?

In each video I see the 10 has much louder audio, but I hear a ton of noise. If you had boosted the RS to the same levels I wonder how they would compare (noise floor)

I need to record long durations so when I upgraded I went from the DJI Action to the Insta360 1". The Action 2 and Hero 10 have too many overheating issues and not as friendly for external battery. I can completely remove the battery off the Insta360 to save weight and plug in a big external battery and the thing doesn't overheat over 2 hrs of shooting. In the future for POV trail running I want to move to 360, so as mentioned instead of getting a new camera, I just get the new lens. Also, in my runs I face lots of different lighting conditions and have to rely on full auto-exposure. Insta, having Log color profile, puts them way ahead of everybody else in terms of what you can do with color grading in post. DJI is good with d-cinelike, but gopro flat sucks.

One RS battery life is awesome. Even the original insta 360 twin edition battery is better than Gopro batteries. Gopro battery run down fast even when not in use. I can come back a week later after not using my insta and I still have good battery life.

Insta 360 One RS all day every day. I had the previous insta 360 Twin edition and now I have the One RS. Nothing can beat it 👍🏻👍🏻 I’ve also stopped buying gopro years ago. Gopro still has too many issues and they’ve been around forever. I just saw someone having to remove their latest Gopro battery to un-freeze the camera. Insta’s battery life alone beats Gopro.

The big problem for me is the 1080P app export resolution for the Insta360. Also, the Insta360 audio is trash. GoPro audio is beyond better. Sometimes, even often, better sound is more important than a better image.... which the GoPro also has.

I'm not going to like, I really do like my Easter 360 RS But I would be lying if the input lag on the screen is not annoying, I wish I knew that before purchasing it tbh, But then again, at the same time, I was also worried about the hero tens overheating issues..... So it was a catch 22 But I do like having the option to quickly switch out the lens to the 360 one, But yeah, hopefully they make a new core that's even more powerful than the RS

On your Insta360 One RS go to the Settings, on General set the Sharpness to the lowest, as its on the highest setting from factory. Boom! There even better footage.

Dear people of thy internet! If you could help me a bit! I mostly shoot of tripod ,so far with huawei p9 that will go pepsi soon .I do youtube videos of product reviews and some diy stuff-nothing fancy like slow motions and 360 wide angles . Mostly static videos of tripod and stick. I was thinking of buying 360one RS 4k camera since its in my price range (400-450$). Question is: 1:how's the quality of sound ? I mostly shoot indoors (there is some echo but not too much),i have lapel microphone ,i heard that you can buy adapter for these cameras which is nice. 2.Battery life-can i shoot for 1h ? I seen extra batterys for purchase which is also + for future. 3: Does it have zoom function ? w 4: hows the focus on camera ? I am looking for something simple to use right out of box ,maybe with some small future invest. Should i buy this camera or do you have recommendation for a smartphone(strictly videos ,nothing except battery and sound/video quality matters-doesnt have to be brand new yesterday out of factory ) in that price range? Its not easy to be poor ,if i buy it i need to be sure its the right thing for me. Thanks for help everyone !

Hello guys, first of all thank you for the great review!!! I need help. I am a cyclist. I ride 70% on the road and 30% in the mountains. I am a cycle tourist, I enjoy discovering new places, photographing monuments and highlights, etc. So far I have photographed monuments, nature, simply highlights with my cell phone. If I do this with my cell phone I either have to stop or do it while driving, which is often dangerous!!!!!!!!!! A) I'm looking for an alternative, namely a camera on the helmet or on the chest. I take photos while driving (with a cell phone or remote control), but I want to see them immediately after I take them. E.g. On the display of the mobile phone attached to the handlebars of the bicycle, whether the photo is OK, etc. B) Alternatively, I would also like to make a video and later take out the pictures using some program. What is important to me is that the photos must contain GPS data, otherwise the Komoot app will not accept them. I also want the photos to be at least reasonably high quality. But I fear that removing them from the video will compromise quality. I would also like to say that I stay on my bike for 4-6 hours and it is a problem to create 4K videos (battery life, overheating, etc.). Can someone please advise me which of these two cameras (gopro 10 or insta 360 4k edition) do you recommend for my purposes? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tired of the GOPRO illusion. Expensive cameras that overhead and fry chips. Very happy with my Insta360 0ne RS. Found a sea turtle laying eggs on the beach. She took 45 minutes to lay her eggs. If I had a gopro the camera would have overheated before she was done and returned to the water. One RS did the job and I have the video and a big smile.

This looks much better than the GoPro... EXCEPT the audio. It seems really muddy, which is a huge disadvantage for vlogging. You can add a mic, but when you just want to get the shot and know the sound will be clear, the RS seems to be worse than the GoPro, sadly. I was SO close to buying it.

I would get a cheap plug in adapter mic and be over the issue, along with enjoying all the other massive quality improvements over the GoPro. Don't get me wrong I love the GoPro's but this is a better device all around, especially activity with hdr. Just my 2 cent's.

Ista RS is worse than Ista R so it probably couldn't compete even with Go Pro Hero 9, let alone the Hero 10, moreover the Ista Flat is inexcusable, very bad, if you like it, in Italy we say....ogni scarrafone è bello a mamma suia................
