That's how you Cut! OG bout to go hoop later! Lol. Wish I had that Hairline!!!! Really. I like the fact NO airbrush or white pencil was used. It makes the haircut unnatural. This was crispy.... man, clipper and razor. That's all. Sharp!!!!

It look unnatural if you don't know how to do it

That shaving cream with the hot towel and holding spray combo makes the lineup super crispy
@the4thken2 жыл бұрын
overstimulation, the purpose of shaving cream is to lubricate and moisturize, and it softens the skin. Hairspray makes the hair hard and holds it in place, So why do both? and a hot towel softens up your skin making it much easier to get cut by the trimmer/razor. its really not hard to get a good line its becoming popular to overthink it and spend 20 minutes prepping it. Wasting time, materials, & energy. And becoming reliant on other resources when its not needed to achieve a good hairline. trust me, i used to use shampoo, alcohol, and overuse tons of hairspray. its just unnecessary

Untrained barber here since 1993; been doing my own since moving to the big city and they wanted $20 for a $5 fade... I cut my son's hair, my mom, and my dad, and most recently, my girlfriend's 16yo son. Question... that airbrush and pencil liner (no disrespect, I don't know what the proper terms are) what are they? They're used to accentuate the line, correct? But what's in them? Will they hold up when they wash their hair? OG's hair is naturally nice with the thickness, so i'm just curious. Mine has that "wisdom ring" so I give myself an against the grain cut with the 1/2 guard, and taper the temples and back. My line is super light, but its there. GREAT video, AMAZING cut you did in this one! Much respect! Mike
@the4thken2 жыл бұрын
The enhancements are waterproof, but will come off after a few days, pencil naturally fades away. Thanks OG!

Shaving cream and hot towel isn’t a waste of time. I hate when barbers push that message. If you don’t do it, that’s fine but don’t push that message bc it definitely helps and it also helps you pull in more money for the SERVICE. I just wanted to put that out there. No disrespect to you Ken! Love your work and you aspire me to get better and I’m here to learn. Just disagreed with that point. And your words hold weight I don’t want ppl to feel like it’s a “waste of time” that’s not true there’s definitely benefits to it.
@the4thken2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the love. But i have to disagree with you on this one. Shaving cream and hot towel is meant for the face in my opinion. For a traditonal razor shave/beard razor lineup. I can agree that it does pull in more money for the service so in that regard i can agree with you. The only time i use a hot towel is to lay the hair down with some lather. or if i am shaving someone’s face
@dontedavis20132 жыл бұрын
@@the4thken I mean if you use it for the beard line up or shave I don’t see how it’s pointless to use it on edge too. We just gotta agree to disagree my boy 🤣🤣💯 Preciate the feedback

Man, I gotta be super honest, the attention to detail you displayed, I wouldn't mind paying $50-$80 for that cut because the work you are willing to put into it and once again, attention to detail. These barbers these days(Or atleast where I live at), are just not that good and can be very inconsistent. So now, I watch videos like these to learn how to cut my own hair. I'm tired of the b.s.
