Hello 👋My dad contacted you while you were in Plovdiv as he saw yoru caravan, so I started following your journey as well! I am happy to see you are enjoying Bulgaria and happy to help with translation 😃 So, regarding Emma's question, the cookies/ sweets are called Kokoski (from kokos which is coconut in Bulgarian). Also, the lady at the market selling butter was saying 5 but you said 3 so she just agreed with you 😁 And yes, I would agree that the market is always better than the supermarket!

Hi! I remember! Thanks for the offer 😁! Emma thanks you for explaining what sweets they were 😁. Oh no I did not understand, now I feel bad for giving her the wrong amount 😭. Yes the markets are way more fascinating and most of the food is healthier. That butter was delicious!!!

@@the5worldexplorers You are very welcome! Do not feel bad, she was still happy with purchase! People selling at markets are quite humble. Glad to hear you enjoyed the produce! Have a great time in Zanzibar! :)

Nice video with positive vibe! Where is this street market? In Bansko or on the road? If you remember the location I'd like to know and visit it when I'm in the area.

Thank you! We found it on the road from Velingrad to Bansko, it was saturday morning on it was on the right side of the road, honestly I have no idea of the town. We saw it and thought "why not stop?" it was delightful and everything we bought delicious!

That was the biggest challenge for us - how the words are written so differently here! Our 4 year old is picking up the Cyrillic alphabet so much quicker than us! Lots of chocolate wafers and no squash were our first discoveries :)

Right?! It drove me crazy but loved it at the same time! Are you living in Bulgaria?

Can you get by with English/Italian in Bulgaria or do you ever run into language problems? Also it looks like grocery store is nicely stocked - do they have any COVID shortages? There are so many empty shelves here because of COVID. You guys look like you're having fun!

Totally, many speak English and pretty well too and some speak Italian. When they don’t speak we get around it with google translate 😂. No shortages, everything is pretty normal here
