I think the reason why Kazuya became a villian and Jin became a hero is that Heihachi just throws kazuya from cliff where as Jun gave Jin a very nice treatment so in a way Kazuya was not a bad person but when Heihachi throws him from the cliff then he became a pure evil person and devil consumed him completely.
