I went to the Outrun arcade machine regularly. And practiced. and practiced. Always drifting around to this song, for some reason wearing gym gloves? And drumming on the steering wheel to the beat of this song. I noticed I started to gather a crowd of kids. I had every turn memorized in my head. I got in the groove and the song helped a lot. Finally, after a fortune of quarters spent I finished... the easiest route. That was the end of my Outrun career, gotta stop when you're on top.

Amazing. I've never felt any of the re-imaginings of the original chip-tune did anything but take away from the magic, but this added to it enormously. God I with I could hear the same treatment given to Magical Sound Shower or Splash Wave.

I wasn't even looking for this song but I stumbled on it while I just happened to be in an "obsessing over old-school Sega" mood. Wow! ... I've always loved this song, and fantasised about what it would be like if it were played for real with a string orchestra ... I've now got my wish! Yesterday, I completed "Hong Kong" course on "Outrunners" for the first time ever - I had selected "Passing Breeze" for my music! The drum solo section was fantastic - thankyou so much!
