I had read the manga just a couple weeks before I heard the announcement that Made in Abyss was coming as an Anime, and seeing the intro let me KNOW that the best scene was going to be animated. And it was absolutely beautiful. I cried reading the manga, then I went and cried watching the anime, then I went and cried watching others' reactions to the anime, then I went and cried from rewatching the anime again.
