Excellent. You simplified this difficult topic to an easily understandable manner. Thank you and your team. With out any doubt I can say your vedios are highly informative and useful to most of the doctors. I appreciate the sincere effort of your team. God bless you, your family and all that you have.👏👏👏

Thing is to just find the Break-point to MIC Quotient ( i.e., ratio ). The higher the ratio of that sensitive antimicrobial, higher is its effectiveness.

How and when do we use the resistance breakpoints Sir?

@@TheICUChannel i mean we are comfortable enough to choose an antibiotic out of the lot when its sensitive ,but my query is can we use the resistance breakpoints in choosing combination therapies for mdr or pdr strains?
@TheICUChannel Жыл бұрын
@@avinabd4501 without breakpoints , technically MIC has got no or little value .

Sir can you please make vedio on significance of dilution of drug.bcoz there is no uniformity in doc's order, m sharing my experience peds surgeon says dilute all antibiotics in 50 ml, someone says 80 ml and NICU doc's says don't dilute to much give it in 2ml that we understand newborn is there so much dilution can cause fluid overload but what about peds and adult patients.m asking this question to clear my concept so that in future I can implement in my clinical practice.dilution is important or giving slow antibiotics is important.

Mic of isolate for teicoplanin (0.5) is far from susceptible break point (8), compared to mic of isolate for vancomycin (1) and susceptible break point (2). Thus teicoplanin concentration very low, thus more sensitive than vancomycin
