Gud evening Sir how much time required on t piece before extubation of patients ( maximum and minimum time)?? Or we can use t piece in pediatric patients also before extubation?

earlier it was 120 min (2 hours) but now its recommended that 30 min is sufficient and as good as 120 min. so u can say 30 min minimum and 120 min maximum. not sure about pediatrics as its not my core , need to ask pediatric intensivist. (please post on forums for that)..

Sir both psv and t piece are weaning mode bt y we need to switch from psv to t piece for extubation,can’t we directly extubate after psv trail?
