Why do I feel like I’m Craig’s wife, standing with hands on hips and raised eyebrows, as he justifies his purchases? And knowing full well that it all means I’ll be going shoe shopping very shortly.

Gold mine scrap yard! Back in the ‘90s I wrecked a Husky 390, twisted the forks and front wheel into pretzels. I found a front end from a KDX, had the friendly machine shop make a steering tube, and I was back in business in no time. You could put together a bunch of fun bikes with creative mechanic-ing.👍

Yes, for a significant period of time, Yamaha YZ 125 and 250 motocross bikes did indeed use the same basic frame design, particularly in earlier models, before the company started developing more distinct frames for each displacement with specific geometry and materials.

Now you have a couple of empty frames that you can convert to electric w/ a hub motor, a Big battery where the engine was and a controller under a gas tank facade.... There's also the Death To Gas kit that bolts directly into the 2 and 4 bolt engine mounts and is all self contained and plug and play. 🔌❤😂

Back in the 80's, I worked in a bicycle shop in NOLA. Across the street lived a family of kids and their grandma. The youngest, Rahsan(sp?), managed to work some odd jobs for the shop owner and with his few dollars, and bought an old clapped out TM like that, and we helped him get it running. Now living in a cheap apartment in NOLA doesn't give much riding space, but we fitted one of my old BMX helmets to him, tossed the bike into the rear seat of my buddy's car, and hauled him and his sister out to the Bonnet Carré Spillway, and had a blast watching them ride around. I took my TLR200 Reflex, and we had some BMX and mountain bikes to play on as well. It would pull me around well, but then, I wasn't the 230lb build of today.

Craig, would love to have a more in depth tour of your new shop, including the backstory behind it, along with the (certain) challenges, and frustrations involved in moving and getting it set up just right. I do enjoy all of your videos tho, so just do your thang and keep up the good work. Oh, and kudos to Dan---he does a great job, and you two interact very well, which is part of the magic that makes your posts work so well. Also, kudos to whoever does the editing, and inserts the memes. I often find myself laughing while watching, and get strange looks from wifey.

That 1984 yz80 you showed a picture of what it’s supposed to look like is my old bike! I put all those stickers on the rear fender and I had the engine bored over one size. I wish I never sold it. I completely redid the hole bike it was so beat up when I got it. I had the 1984 yz125 I did as well and made them look completely the same. Same stickers and all. I now have a 1982 yz80 and a 1982 yz125 that I making both bikes look the same way. I left a comment on your fzr video saying I would trade you both bikes for your fzr. It’s so crazy seeing my old bike on your video. I’ve been watching you since bikes and beards. I also came across the video of the guy that owns my old 1984 yz80 of him making and putting up the video on KZbin.

even a broken rear mud guard has it's uses. I bought a plastic welder to restore a SV650, and man after using the plastic welder.. every little plastic tab big or small that snaps off panels i save to later be welded back on. You'd be amazed at what the plastic welder can accomplish. Im fully confident in saying i can restore any plastic panel for any bike honestly. It's soooo doable.

Love auctions myself. You can sell or buy just about anything at the auction. A friend took me to one when I was just a young wipper snapper, and I have gone ever since. Made a lot of money in my day. I don't know how many times I found someone tossing a bunch of stuff out and grabbed the stuff, took it to the auction, and made a killing. I have sold cars,snowmobiles,4 wheelers, bikes, and just about every kind of animal you can think of. Well, farm type animals, anyhow. One man's junk is another man's dollars in the pockee.
