“Cowardice is not an option”, now that would be an epic movie quote.

Just a note of appreciation for you doing this series. I’ve read some of the works (like this one) that you’re talking about and it’s interesting to see different things you latched on to that I either glossed over or just didn’t catch my attention on first reading. E.g. the children argument I glossed over as I don’t have any. Good job!

Thanks so much! I truly appreciate hearing that. This series has been a joy to make! I think your experiences in life will have a major impact on what you will take away from reading these books. Truly appreciate you watching and stay blessed my friend!

Another incredible video. Thanks for putting in the work to make these Rob! You're skilled in concision and making the depth understood for the commoner in an amazing amount of time. Binging the series.

Never thought of that angle but if the state orders your death and you obey the law, then you need to obey the sentence. I heard a similar story while living in Japan: A judge (Judge Yamaguchi of the Tokyo District Court) refused to buy rice on the black market in the aftermath of WW2 and starved to death rather than break the law. His death actually led to the government increasing the rice rations so that people could survive without buying rice illegally. Tough choice but I would probably opt for the coward route so that I could see my kids grow up...

I agree with you on the seeing your kids grow up. Socrates either had a sense of great honor or he was not a family man. haha Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and I truly appreciate you watching my friend. Stay blessed!

Love your series, your aim, and your approach! Good to see some good creators are still around. Subscribed and will be following along. Question: how do you obtain these books? Are they still in publication?

I truly appreciate the kind words and thanks so much for subscribing. I purchased this set off of Facebook marketplace place for $375. If you can find a set local you can save on shipping. Took me about 3 months to find a good deal on a set. Stay blessed my friend!
