In Canada, international students can work up to 20 hr/week while studying provided that they are studying fulltime in a DLI and their student permit allows it. During summer months (not studying), they can work fulltime. Temporarily, Canada allows those international students who were in Canada (with student permit allowing to work) on 7th Oct 2022 to work full time during the period from 15th Nov 2022 to 31st Dec 2023.

Thanks for the video, it’s so accurate, As a US citizen having stroll both countries, I recommend Canada 🇨🇦 for international students because they can give u documents to stay after school. US won’t 😂 da forgerrit if that’s ur hope. As for the accent I don’t side with her koraa, even after 10yrs koraa most of us won’t change, Gh accent will always dominate. I recently drove to Canada Vancouver to see my friends studying there, they have great offer, the allowance for their kids, cheap medical etc. Except the rent which is too high. One lady in a shared 3 bedroom house pays Ca $ 950 each.

In USA, student with F-1 visa are not allowed to work off-campus, except for CPT (Curricular Practical Training) and OPT (Optional Practical Training). Students can work 20 hrs on-campus, serving fellow students. During summer months when they are not studying, students can work fulltime except that most campus cafeterias and bookstores are either closed or operating in reduced hours.

For those who are fluent in French (such as those from West Africa), starting in Fall 2023, if you study in French at a DLI outside of greater Montreal area in Quebec, you will be paying the same tuition as local residents (about $3000 CAD/yr). This is for the entire diploma or degree. Eligible fields are IT, engineering, social and health services, and education (including early childhood education). International students can work 20 hr/week while studying.

It is easier to get PR in Canada than USA. I want to point out to you that, for Canadians, there are 63 occupations that qualify for TN-1 visa under USMCA agreement. TN-1 visa allows Canadians to work temporarily in USA; it is a 3-yr non-immigration, renewable visa that can be obtained for $60 at US-Canada border. Therefore, pick your major carefully in university. You can have both Canadian and USA job markets opened up for you.
@kennykentoh34752 жыл бұрын
@@smwk2017 which majors can you suggest tho
@smwk20172 жыл бұрын
@@kennykentoh3475 Study something that you like and where you are strong. Develop on your strength and you will become great. Develop on your weakness, you will become mediocre. If you are strong in Math and Science, I recommend engineering. In North America, they outsource computer programming work overseas; it may be fine when you are young but definitely won't bring you to retirement.
