Hey randy thanks for all the videos. I have a 8610xsv and it's on the 26.2 but my gls10 is on the 2.74 because I had a 126sv and updated both to new updates now I have 8610xsv my question is can I go back to the 2.57 on the gls 10 and not change my 8610xsv software

@@The_Garmin_Guru Randy, you’ve got an idea of the waters I fish in south Louisiana. 7’ or less, lots of stuff in the water to cloud things, soft mud bottom, lots of duck weed, etc.. In your opinion would the 26.2 clear up the screen a bit? We never get the kind of display that is often seen on KZbin, especially in deeper waters. The sunken trees are not nearly as clear as seen on KZbin. Could you provide a link to d/l the 26.2? I can’t find it… I know your a busy guy. Thanks for your time. Danny

For ECHOMAP users is your recommendation 19.1 or 19.2? Is it the January 2022 update?

Yea it’s the January 2022 update. Most important thing is the 2.57 black Box imo

Indeed, the most important in this case gls10 firmware, which is 2.57. 2.57 has been included in 2022 Jan and 2022 Feb echomap soft. bundles (19.1 and 19.2) respectively. I had latest 26 with 2.74 which updated via active captain. I've force to update via sd card to 19.2 with turned on gls module. After that I updated only echomap to 26.0 again with gls10 turned off. In such way I have updated echomap to 26 and gls10 with 2.57 software. According garmin sotware log from 2.57 to 2.74 I don't see the need update it, as it does not have critical fixes or features, while echomap from 19.2-26.0 has lots fixes. I've disabled on my active captain app automatic updates to do not sync gls10 updates.
