ive had my livescope since june of 19 way before perspective mode i can tell you that the ghost tree has always been there but it was not as apparent as it is now as far as the clarity it was way clearer then what you are seeing in this video. there was a huge difference in clarity from pre perspective and post perspective.

Good to know. I didn’t tinker much with settings. I like 26.2 myself. But I love the perspective mode

@@The_Garmin_Guru i can also say that when i installed the newest update it was so bad that i thought one of the beams had went out. i went back home and put the black box back to 2.54 and it fixed it and it looks pretty good so im happy with it now

Thanks for doing this. But what me and some buddies have seen is your picture never gets as good as it was when going back pre perspective. You find someone who has pre perspective and hasn’t updated they will usually have a great picture. Just what we have found. Thanks again

Yep unfortunately I can’t find a black Box that hasn’t been updated so I got the closest thing

I had a bud who never updated and was pre perspective mode and I’ve fished with him several times and it was ok. Unfortunately he has now updated so that’s a no go too

Using Active Captain, I have downloaded the latest version, but on my unit it is saying 19.20. What am I not understanding ? They are echo map units. Live scope is 2.57.

Ok so most people are always griping that they had better pictures on previous software upgrades. So I got my hand on them and I’m testing them against the current 26.2. The 14.3 is a pre perspective mode which everyone say is the reason the ghost tree exists. So I tested that too

I also have the same problem the latest update it is offering me in active captain is 19.20 and 2.57 and it's hard to locate jig and get target separation.

I think these updates are for GPS units instead of EchoMap units

Long time boater, and I have used Lowrance and Humminbird for all of those years. I equipped my newest (and last) boat totally Garmin (Force TM, 3 Echomap Ultra 106sv units and Livescope). Have enjoyed your videos, and they have helped me to make the transition. But, your last two "Software Wars" have me confused. I have uploaded the last updates, but all the version numbers you are throwing around are what is confusing me. 26.2, 2.57, 14.3 and 2.00??? What are all these, and how do I check to see which one I have? Thanks

OK, Today is the straw that breaks the camels back, so to speak. I have a 93sv uhd on my LS. I've been trying to deal with the update but I'm not happy. I'm having a hard time seeing my bait. Very hard to find it no mater how I seem to adjust the unit. I'm running 19.10 and 2.55 on my box. Can you give me some recommendation's to what version I need to go back to?

@@The_Garmin_Guru I'm running a newly installed 93sv with LVS 32, I've been out with it on 4 occasions with some success catching crappie. I have the transducer on a Seelite pole and that functions just fine. I DID NOT update to the latest software. Out of the box I'm running 18.1. At times I have a hard time seeing my split shot and jig. Its like it disappears sometimes when lowering. Yes I make adjustments to the color limit and gain. I wanted to get some time learning the unit before updating so I can see the difference. Also, the mount has that 8 degree cant and I dont like that. Since I dont have the transducer on my trolling motor shaft I dont need to have it canted. Thoughts on my comments ? Thanks, and thanks for helping us all ! !

Have you tried 16.10 and 2.20? I have 16.10 and 2.20 but have not been on the water with it yet. If I don't like it I will update it.

All around I still believe 26.2 is the best. Just my personal opinion
